About this item

  • CATS WITH URINARY CONCERNS: Royal Canin Urinary SO is a veterinary-exclusive adult cat food for cats with urinary health concerns
  • HELPS DISSOLVE STONES: Innovative urinary tract cat food helps dissolve pure struvite stones and helps prevent calcium oxalate stones
  • BLADDER HEALTH: RSS methodology for cat bladder health lowers the risk of crystal formation
  • S/O INDEX: The exclusive S/O Index creates an environment unfavorable to crystal formation in the bladder to support urinary health
  • HELPS PREVENT STONE REOCCURANCE: Specialized diet, with a reduced level of magnesium, helps prevent struvite stones from reoccurring

Royal Canin Urinary SO is a veterinary-exclusive wet cat food that supports bladder health. It increases the amount of urine produced to help dilute excess minerals that can cause crystals and stones. Low Relative Super Saturation (RSS) methodology helps lower ion concentration. A reduced level of magnesium helps dissolve pure struvite stones and prevent struvite stones from forming.

This is the best my vet recommended for crystals in the urine which is why I even gave it two stars but it's over twice the price what I can get it at the vet. It's about $80 at the vet for 24 cans in a case. Why is this so expensive? The dry food is also about $80 bag at the vet. I'm on food stamps myself so I can barely afford to feed myself, now I have to give my cat exorbitantly priced food so he literally doesn't die from a blockage. I don't know if this food is actually expensive to to produce or if they are just trying to gouge people in need, like they seem to be with this listing. Also, the cans are in fact 5.1 oz, not 5.8. Thank shrinkflation for that I suppose? They need to update the listing, I'm going to report it, so if it changes that's why. But I have to supplement my cat with other food because they shrunk the cans. And regular can saver tops don't fit.

I ordered this cat food only because it was advertised as a 5.8 oz can. The new size cuts way down on food, but, of course the price stays the same. Not pleased!

This product gave my cat gastric distress. Had to go back to the morsels.

The price of this food is ridiculous plus they only sell it in chicken. One place was selling 3 once cans for about 5 dollars a piece and for a my 16 lb cat, he is suppose to eat about 5 cans a day according to them. That is 25 dollars a day just for wet food, heaven forbid he doesn't eat any dry food or treats.. And this is one of the cheaper stores. You can't sample it in small amounts either except thru your vet. Hope it works before they rob me blind. According to the vet he is suppose to stay on this food and according to Royal you are not suppose to mix foods

This listing seems intended to mislead people into thinking they are getting a case of 12 or 24 cans, when it is actually one ridiculously expensive can.

How could Royal Canin do this to their loyal customers? 5.8 to 5.1 oz and charge the same?I will look for another brand!
