When reading the reviews on here, I noticed most people complaining about how difficult it is to assemble. While I can't argue with that fact, I can say that "some assembly required" will be the case for any new bicycle you buy online, and if you aren't proficient with assembling things in general, you'll probably want to go to a retail store to purchase a bike, and/or take this bike to a bike shop in the box and pay them to assemble it for you. However, if you are like me, and can put together Ikea furniture without the instructions, and you don't mind spending several hours putting together your own bike, I honestly think these guys do an amazing job of packaging, and shipping their bikes in as assembled as possible condition. The bike is only a bit heavier than expected, for an aluminum frame, but that is to be expected given the extra weight of the basket holder, and the transmission cover (as is typical in a 3 speed). All in all, after spending several months researching bikes, this unit, and its female counterpart were the only ones on the market under $500 that offered a stylish, vintage/cruiser look, with a multi-gear transmission, AND a front suspension. So, once you figure out how to get them assembled (which for me, was the opposite order of the steps that the provided instructions would have you assemble it), it looks great, it rides great, I learned a lot about bike assembly, and how to perform tune ups on brakes, etc, and it seems like the kind of bike that I will be able to maintain for year to come, making this bike, at this price point, a 5-star, no-brainer for the handy inclined.

There are plenty of good ones too, but I don't understand how there are ANY negative reviews for this bike. Maybe it's because there are several different models under one listing, but the white 17" women's bike is awesome! I like it so much I bought another one for my daughter!High quality parts and materials, comfy seat, smooth shifts and brakes, lightweight, and super stylish! Lots of compliments and asks about where I got them. Assembly takes a little time but isn't that bad, and once done you've got this awesome cycling machine!I bike everywhere. I've done a lot of biking on many different bikes in my day and with plenty of miles on this I can confidently say it's the best I've ever owned. Not cheap, but high quality and worth. You won't regret it!

The handlebars were mounted on the spindle backwards. This resulted in the bell being mounted upside down and apparently it was mounted while the paint was still soft. The vinyl tubing they use for a bushing on the bottom of the bell clamp stuck into the paint causing the finish to come off leaving an ugly blemish that is very visible.Worse than that the front brakes are defective and will not adjust. One of the brake pads rides constantly on the side of the rim. The rear brakes have the same issue but not to the extent of the front brakes. And lastly both rims were not trued before being shipped. They both wobble. So here's the worst part. You cannot contact Royce Union. No one answers the customer service telephone number. It's apparently just set up on a loop. I've called three times and was left on hold each time well over an hours without anyone answering. Here's the curious thing. You'll call and you'll hear an automated message saying how important your call is and stay on the line and then you'll hear your number two in the queue. After about 45 minutes you'll hear you're number one in the queue and then from that point on you just are number one in the queue for as long as you're willing to stay on hold. In my case about 45 minutes. No one ever answers. I'm assuming after reading this the on hold message will change.I went to their website and I on their customer service page I left an email explaining my need for assistance with the bike and I also complained about the customer service telephone number. That was a few days ago and I have yet to hear back from Royce Union.I would recommend that you read all of the one and two star reviews before buying the bike because apparently that is the reality here. There must not be any quality control with these bikes at all. It's not an awful bike. It's that the quality of the build is ridiculously bad.I was trying to reach them because I want to keep the bike and just replace the defective parts but they're not leaving me any other option than returning it to Amazon which sucks.

I think the bike looks good and handles well. Assembly was easy enough thanks to the video ;-) My only complaint - and it is minor, is that the left pedal snapped in half (laterally) but they're very clearly cheap plastic pedals so I was not shocked.Update: You might run into issues with the bottom bracket constantly coming loose. Mine has been for a while now. Still a decent bike and better now that I have updated the antiquated (and super cheap) bottom bracket.

I love the style. Full disclosure. I’m so excited I haven’t taken it for a spin yet but rather easy assembly. All parts were there. Bike arrived super wrapped and protected.I’ll write another review once I take it for a ride. This was my mistake, but I believe I’m a little short for the bike I ordered. And it’s definitely not light weight by any means. But I doubt that’s a problem. The wheels are not inflated but I’ll take care of that tomorrow. Follow up with that.So excited I can’t believe it’s here.I forgot to actually post this ! That’s even better because I’ve have been so in love with this bike. The only thing I have to check out is I have some rust on a few spots. No reason for that because it’s been completely kept inside after any riding.I had a chance to ride today. Weather issues.Rode great, I need double knee replacements and this was gentle on my knees with a smooth ride. Here were great to have and the set was sealift adjustable.I’m in love.
