Fossil Molds - You can mold cool replicas of five different fossils: ammonite, chirostenotes claw, trilobite, king crab and gryodus. Simply fill the molds with Plaster of Paris or press in some air-dry clay. When hardened, add details with paint or markers. They're great for candy and soap making, too. -- Appropriate for Grades Pre-K+

These have been good for craft projects. Here is the ammonite casting inside a tide pool turntable.

I have read some other reviews that it’s flimsy , so I was worried but it’s actually not that delicate. At first I was being really careful but then I seen it was doing well, and started being rougher with it. All the fossils came out really well, and the mold is still perfectly intact for me to use again when I want more fossils. I really honestly love it more than anything ever! I would definitely recommend buying this. It’s super fun!

The mold was easy to use.But make sure that you put enough plaster of Paris in the smaller sections of the tails. If you DON'T, when you pop the molds out like the fish, the tail will break.

I used Stylecast plaster which is harder than plaster of paris. After greasing the mold with a light film of spray cooking oil ( better than vaseline! ) I set my molds. They dried in thirty minutes and look impeccable. Simply fill them to the edge and then flip them over carefully on a flat dry and even surface. I painted them and they look realistic. This mold is super for chocolates or cool candies. I think it would not resist multiple high temperature uses or dish washing. But if washed and dried by hand with dish soap and mild water and handles and stored without heavy items to press on them, they should last for many uses. I used mine to make fossil representations for an earth science class. Gather, the bottom side will be flat but for trilobites, gyrodes and ammonites, great teaching tool!

These molds come as a single sheet. Very hard plastic Not for epoxy resin. You need to cut them apart to level them as they are all different depths and anything not very thick will run everywhere. Worked ok for me using cement and silicone mold release.

This mold is very versatile. I can't believe there's any bad comments. Some people might not have much data on what a mold is actually made of and just like to complain. They show the mold in 4 pieces because it can be cut into squares or leave it as is, a whole sheet. It arrives as a whole sheet with all 4 molds attached. Can you imagine the complaints if the mold was sold in 4 pieces, lol who needs that drama. Each mold shape is about the size of a woman's palm. The plastic is the same quality other chocolate molds I buy are made of. I'm using this for air dried plaster. The mold worked perfectly. I love the detail in the molds. Then I ruffled up to my liking since it is supposed to be prehistoric.

its harder then I thought to find a good size mold there all so tiny it seems or there more then you really want to pay but I got this for m son who recently got into clay they are big molds so you can actually make something cool and see all the details and maybe even use a décor or just for fun.id but more and it came quickly like 2 days.

These are absolutely humongous. Even if you wanted to make chocolates the size of one would feed three kids. Poor description of the product and incomplete information. Also, it's made of the type of plastic that releases toxins when heated, and you can't pour chocolate if it's not hot.I'm not going to even bother to return it because the hassle for $7 is too great. But definitely will put this seller on my "never again" list. And remove their products from my Influencer store.

I used these to make plaster fossils for kids to paint at my daughter's birthday party. They arrived very quickly and worked great -- the kids thought they looked very real. The product photo isn't accurate in that they come as a single sheet, and they are all different depths, so I had to cut them apart with scissors in order for them to sit flat while the plaster was drying. The product photo also makes them look like they are thicker than they actually are -- it's a fairly thin sheet of what seems to be PET plastic. They do seem expensive for what you get, but I think the price is mostly shipping and the cost of keeping it in stock. It's comparable to the price charged by other places plus shipping, and promised to arrive faster.

Esta bien, solo que los moldes no son lo que esperaba, el platico es delgado y se tienen que manejar con cuidado para que no se hechen a perder.Dan servicio y cumplen con la función
