There is a little gear inside which is a temperature adjustment on the cartridge, when the water is not hot enough, you can pull and turn to adjust, left side is colder, right side is hotter.

Warm Tips:
- Please remember to close the water valve before installation.
- To avoid leaks or no hot water, please clean up the area around the old ink cartridge before installing the new cartridge.
- Please according to the hot side indicated by the valve body to install it and make sure new one is seated all the way in the slot.
- After installation, please adjust the rorational limit stop to cold avoid burns when the handle of the valve is rotate to the hot side.

I'm a full time plumber and I've replaced 4 or 5 delta cartridges with these off brand knock offs. Usually I'm hesitant to buy anything that isn't name brand but with the genuine delta from lowes being almost 75 dollars, this is a bargain. They've worked every time I've used them and I've saved my customers a lot of money along with earning myself some so I'd call that a win

In theory it should be a simple installation. Turn the water off, remove a handle and faceplate, unscrew the valve and replace. Except in our lovely house where if there is a water shutoff, it's location may never be found. So after turning on every water valve in the house, locking the toilets to run, all outside hoses on full, I tried to take this on.With water still spraying out the valve housing I could press the new valve in but the o-rings kept unseating every time. After a few attempts I got the idea to take some teflon tape and wrap the two o-rings onto the valve to keep them in place while pushing the new valve in. This worked perfectly, I was able to tighten it up, and no more leaks.

I installed this valve. it fit perfect. it stopped the leak but now I don't have hot water in my shower. I bought another one thinking it was a fluke. apparently not. I installed the second one and I don't have hot water in my shower. I put my old leaky valve back in and I have hot water. these are mism-made and will only allow lukewarm showers at best!

There are several reviews that talk about the temp control and it is easy to adjust. With that said you should know that this OEM product volume flow is slightly less than Delta's and the highest hot water temp is slightly less than Delta's. This product will work well if your bath/faucets are near your hot water heater and you normally get very hot water.A plumber with 30 years experience with Delta fixtures advised me of this. The Danco OEM and other OEM's like this product are close but not the same.Unfortunately, my main bath is on the opposite side of the house from where my hot water heaters are located. With such a long run and slightly less volume this OEM cartridge did not work for me. I actually tried both cartridges that came in the package and had the same issue. I have duel shower heads so it was very noticeable when I compared this new OEM in one shower head vs the other shower with existing Delta cartridge at the same time.I bit the bullet and purchased a new Delta cartridge and it worked perfectly. Just know this before you buy this OEM cartridge.

I watched a few videos on installation and had it done in less then 20 minutes no more leaking. Good aftermarket part to me A+A+A.
