I love this ice shaver! I wish I knew what the allen key was for. It doesn’t seem to fit any of the hardware on the machine though. The week I got it I happened to be sick and had a sore throat, what a life saver. The ice came out practically like snow!!! I have recommended this ice shaver to EVERYONE!!!!

100% worth buying. Everyone loves it. Kids get snowcone or slushies, adults get frozen "adult beverages" multi-use and fantastic for parties or everyday use during the summer. Only complaints are the spout where the ice comes out doesn't angle and the bowl to catch doesn't fit. Also the blade continues to spin when opened to add more ice even when safety switch is lifted to stop it.

The machine works great. The texture of the ice is somewhat fine (not as fine as shave ice) but works great for homemade deserts. The only complaint is that it is a little messy while in use. Some ice misses the provided bowl and you will end up with some water on the counter. This is easily solved by placing a towel under the machine while using.

The snow cone maker has plenty of power and does a good job crushing ice. It's doesn't make real fine shaved ice but it's pretty good. It's seems built well, too. The major flaw is in ease of use. Since the machine is so short there is not much room for the ice to come out. It falls into the edge of the bowl then quickly backs up and plugs the chute. To combat this I spin the bowl while crushing the ice. This works well for making a handfull but gets really annoying after a few. It would be perfect if there was room to put a cup instead but there's no room for anything other than the bowl.

Great lil machine for snow cones. Took it on a trip, bought the syrup and our grandkids loved it!! We made margaritas with it too. Just put a towel under it to keep counter dry.

When I first got this thing, I followed the poorly written, bad English instructions that came with it, which was to wipe it down with a wet towel.After the first wipe, the towel was dusted with metal glitter. Figured I'd just have to keep wiping it down. After a good 10 - 15 minutes and going through many towels, it was STILL covered in metal particles.This can't be food safe. This is definitely a health hazard. Would not use. Not worth the risk.
