Need to replace our mailbox and wanted something that would stand up to winters in the rural Midwest. This mailbox was at our house very quickly and came with almost everything that you would need to install it. I ended up needing 4 screws with washers to attach the box to the post, but this would vary depending on your box. The instructions were fantastic and as someone with very limited experience with tools I was able to finish the whole install in less than an hour. My wife tested it out multiple times and the swivel action is smooth and it comes back to the correct position each time. The metal is thick, strong and sturdy. I have no doubt that this will last us for a very long time. Very impressed

After having our mailbox knocked down multiple times this winter by snow plows, I wanted something to stand-up to them. So, I bought this great swing away mailbox post and told my husband that he would LOVE to install it. I was correct, of course! He was able to quickly and easily get the post and mailbox (purchased separately) installed. The post was very well made and impressed my husband that I was able to find something of such quality for a reasonable price. He was extremely satisfied to see my nagging and complaining cease once the mailbox was up and didn't get knocked down by the snowplows. Our mail delivery returned and our house was once again happy. After all, if you have a happy spouse, you naturally have a happy house! I highly recommend this well- built, extremely sturdy mailbox post.

It was easy to install. It took a quick couple measurements to seat the post in the correct spot and the job was done before I knew it. I won't know untill winter if it works with the blind plow guys we have but I think the past reviews speak for themselves. This is a one and done purchase.

I really like how far away from the road the base of this mailbox post is because I feel like my post should be safe from our snow plow drivers (who take out a few mailboxes and posts every snow season). My only complaint is it would have been nice to not have had to retrofit the attachment setup to hold our new larger USPS recommended mailbox.

After having to replace multiple cheap mailbox posts I got this one. It seems sturdy and the swing works great with the plow. Hopefully it will last years.

The shoulder by my house is such that my mailbox is a full lane (and then some) away from the edge of the road lane. However, the plow trucks insisted on plowing even beyond that and still taking out my mailbox on regular occurances. I got tired of putting up a new mailbox every year and resorted to just a mail box in a bucket of cement so I could stand it back up. However, I found it was down more than up and has created issues for my mailman who has been deliverying down my long drive. I purchased this with the hope of challenging our plow truck drivers to the point of giving up. Hoping they don't try and turn this into a game of "pinwheel".

I wouldn't consider the ditch where it was installed terribly deep (around 3ft to the bottom of the ditch), but the U post provided was too short for the job. I used an old sign post that was the same width and hole pattern. The unit itself was perfect, I just should have gotten the post extension they offered.

We were looking for a mailbox that would withstand a potential snowplow hit and tall enough for the snowbanks in the upper peninsula of Michigan. Did not take long to assemble and our mailperson already approves.
