These barrels are very sturdy. A lining bag filled with shredded paper, which conforms to the shape of the barrel, is still relatively easy to pull out without much "suction". Great product, big, but the 45 gallon barrel is not too big.

I've used these bins for more than a year and highly recommend them. I've never used them for trash. The tight fitting lid is an essential component for me, since I have two bins up on my roof where the wind can be strong. Up there, they get full sun and are doing just fine (I bought white bins). I will erect a shelter for them though, then they will last as long as I'm around. I have connected these two bins with hose pipes, and there's a filler pipe goes that into one and an exit pipe that runs out the other. The purpose of these bins in my roof garden irrigation is to change the water acidity to better suit particular plants. I have another, single bin serving the same purpose in another part of the garden, and the fourth bin I have attached a platform with 5" wheels that I use to cart random stuff around, including garden dirt.

Do far so good. I'm a aquarist with a salt water tank. I use this to hold my salt water mix before water changes and this has not let me down yet. Also the accessories for this are awesome. The wheel cart in particular is worth every penny.
