We hike every day and, in the southwest mountains, it gets really hot and there are often red ants on trails.Unlike the other dogs in our pack, she wears these and has never been bitten. She is able to freely move and maintains traction on various terrain.They are really easy to use, getting on and off. We haven't tested the waterproof function, but these feel very durable and despite running in circles, playing, and hiking the grip is still new, months later.The only thing I would change is to make them more breathable--it gets hot during the summer and her paws are very sweaty after using. Dust from trails gets inside, so I would question the waterproof ability.Make sure they are on flat and tight. They haven't fallen off except during our first use.Tip to help them get used to the shoes: immediately after putting them on start playing with their favorite toy. We put the toy away for a few days and pulled it out once the shoes were on. She instantly forgot about the shoes and started running and walking normally.Unlike Mukluks, these don't have a natural feel sole, so they feel weird to the dog. Playing helps them go over that before they form an opinion about them. She associates the shoes with fun times and adventures.

I would've given this a five star because of the quality but unfortunately does not fit my dogs super eide paws. I followed the sizing instructions and even asked my dog's groomer to help me measure her paws. Her paw measures 2.5" in width but that size is too long towards the front of the toes, which caused her to continuously trip on them when I tried them on. I have purchased several products from Ruffwear (harnesses, leashes, collars and boots for my orther dogs). I love the quality and style but unfortunately did not work for my cocker spaniel.

These are easy to measure to your dog's feet if your make sure dog is putting their body weight on their feet, and you keep your marking device straight up and down. The last pair lasted over a year of daily wear. Highly recommend.

These outdoor booties provide incredible protection for my dog’s paws, especially during hiking and running on rough terrain. The rubber soles offer excellent traction, and I’ve noticed my dog has more confidence and stability while wearing them. They’re durable, stay securely in place, and are easy to put on and take off. Plus, they don’t bother my dog at all, which is a big win! Whether it’s hot pavement, rocky trails, or snowy conditions, these boots keep his paws safe and comfortable. Highly recommend for any active dog owner!

I have a 14 yr old rough hair Collie who's has arthritis in her back hips. She tends to drag her back feet. Bought these for her and we both love them. They are easy to get on, they do not come off . First time using them she had no issues . And best of all they protect her feet from sore. I will be buying again.

They work ok. Hard to find the “just right†fit. Might need to try several sizes which is a pain with mail order. Recommend going to brick and mortar store and try on.Wait for them to go on sale. Don’t need them often but they are Great when they are Needed!

My dog was a stray for a year and a half and this was her first pair of shoes. Obviously it took some getting used to but after a few minutes she’s walking fine in them. The soles thick enough to keep the thorns and the heat from the concrete out but thin enough she can move naturally in them. They’re really lightweight. They’re true to measurements. Easy to put on and they stay on when we go hiking.The only two things I don’t like is they take a couple days to break in and they irritated the tops of her paws but once they broke in they’re fine. The upper mesh is a little too thick for my liking my dogs paws get really sweaty in them but I live In Phoenix so I’m talking extremes of heat, I’m sure they’re good anywhere else.

These booties have been through the test of durability! My Mastiff has never lost a bootie, and we have tried all the others out there! He has paw issues on the two back paws that seem to be ongoing. He wears a size 3, and he's about 95lbs. They are incredible! Highly recommend!

I was looking for something to help my elderly Wire Haired Fox Terrier. He has degenerative myelopathy and struggles on most surfaces to grip and it has been heartbreaking watching him fall and lose his balance so often. He also drags his rear paws and has worn the nails to the quick where they bleed. Rufus only weighs 8.5kgs and his paws are small. I measured according to the directions and went ahead and ordered the smallest size, 1.5in. Boots arrived and are exactly as pictured. I put them on Rufus's rear paws and cinched the velcro tight and he was fine from the get go. Rufus has grip and his hind legs are held firm on the ground, even inside on the polished wood floor. Really pleased so far and Rufus seems not to be bothered with them at all. Great purchase, well worth the money paid to see my little dog upright and not struggling to walk!
