My son needed a leprechaun trap for school and I was lucky enough to find this one.This trap is fairly easy to put together, but I would recommend an adult doing it. Some of the parts are a bit tight and my son definitely would have bent up the pieces if he was the one assembling this.The cardstock is pretty tough and the colors are nice and vibrant. Once it was put together, I was very happy with the overall look. It looks just like the photos!The one design flaw I didn't care for was the background....the part with the picture of the pot of gold. It wraps around the back of the box (which is the actual trap), but once it's attached, you really can't open the box again. My son dropped all sort of St. Patrick's Day stuff inside (green bead necklaces, clover bracelets, etc) which was not easy to get out.That one little design flaw aside, the trap is awesome looking! My son brought it to school already and said his trap was one of the best. Sure, it might not be the most creative since this came from a kit, but we're both very happy with it!

This was a fun build for the kids, bright and colorful. Unfortunately we didn't have any luck catching a leprechaun however. Only down side is it's not really practical to break it down and keep for next year.

I bought this as a cute project for St. Patty's Day for my son and his friend. Unfortunately, it didn't come with instructions, and it wasn't blatantly obvious on how to assemble. I went back to the ordering description and there was a little more information on there, as well as pictures for reference, but for kids, they just wanted to DO it. And I wasn't looking to really have to participate. Needless to say, it didn't turn out exactly as the picture, and while cute, it didn't hold their interest as well as a different kit I bought with a wooden box and "real" coins. Overall, it was cute but expect to either let them get creative with their assembly, or plan to participate and refer to the Amazon description for assistance.

This item doesn't come with instructions on how to put it together, and then once we got it together, it doesn't close like a trap would. Do not buy.

This kit was very easy to put together. The directions do not come with it, but can be viewed on the product listing pictures. The actual kit is well made and not flimsy at all. The colors are vibrant and it looks great.

I give this four stars because my daughter loves it and it is a cute idea but I am not sure if it is $15 worthy. Although I feel it is a bit overpriced, it's bigger than I thought it would be which was nice and the material is strong and durable. We did put clear shipping tape on both corners because it doesn't stay super tight where you insert the tabs to make the box. It did not come with directions but I saw on the description photos they had step by step assembly directions on there so we used that. It is pretty self-explanatory if you needed to do it without directions but I am not very crafty so needed the directions. LOL I do feel we could use this each year because it is durable and the stairs can be easily disassembled and reassembled the following year. I think the best part is that it is a fun activity to do with your kids and the assembly was super easy even for my 7 year old.

No instructions and the pieces don’t fit together. Don’t waste your money. Wish I would have opened it and realized it before I gave it to my children. Even they were disappointed.

This trap is more like dollar store quality vs the $15 price tag. I had to use the instructions on the Amazon page because it didn’t come with any… and we had to be very careful not to rip the pieces while assembling. It came with sticker dots to hold some of the pieces down, but the ones we received were only sticky on one side, so that didn’t work. Then, the box that is supposed to “close on the leprechaun†didn’t close all the way without hitting the arch in front of it. I had to detach it in order for it to lay flat to hide the fact that the leprechaun escaped and left coins in his place.Luckily my kids are young enough to not notice all the faults, and they still enjoyed the process and excitement of the idea, which is why it even got 3 stars from me, but I’d never pay $15 for this.

There were no instructions in the package so had to come back to the ad to figure it out but otherwise it was fine and the kids had fun setting it up with other added trap accessories.
