I often walk my dogs after dark and want to stay visible and safe. I would carry a flashlight in my hand, but found it cumbersome to have to carry at times. My hands were holding two leashes, sometimes a beverage and I’d have to put the flashlight down to pick up poop. Not a big deal, but a bit cumbersome nonetheless. I wanted a hands free alternative that would allow me to be visible at all times. This safety belt is the ideal solution in my opinion. It’s lightweight, small so I can easily store it with the dog leashes near the door and the reflective aspect works terrific in the dark. The light is a nice added feature to either light my path in front or make me more visible from behind. Conveniently adjustable and a universal fit for the most part. Super easy to operate. The snap closure is smooth and convenient and adjusting is a breeze. I love that it has the waist loop and a second loop to keep it up on your shoulder. Doesn’t slip or slide around while moving around with it. I use it for dog walking, but this belt has a variety of safety uses. I plan to take it with me hiking, biking or I could leave it in my car for road trips in my road side safety kit. A very handy safety item that I highly recommend!

Recently I got a chest light for outdoor sports, and it's a fantastic addition to my gear. The light has 500 lumens and can be used for activities like running, cycling, camping, fishing, and walking the dog. It straps to your chest, combining a powerful running light and reflective straps. The straps cover your shoulders and around your body, providing full reflective visibility. However, the straps has a tendency to loosen. The front lights can blink, alternate, or work together, and there's a mode where they turn red, like brake lights, and can flash or alternate blinking. This setup resembles Iron Man's arc reactor on your chest, providing strong, blinking light for safety. The straps are lightweight and keep the light secure. The reflective strips offer visibility from all angles—front, back, and sides. The adjustable light can be aimed forward or downward, depending on your needs. This makes it a versatile and powerful light that offers safety and convenience for various activities. Whether you're running, cycling, camping, fishing, or walking the dog, this chest light provides great illumination and reflective visibility for any outdoor adventure.

High focus beam is for running on the grass at night because high visual acuity is needed to avoid stepping on dog poops in a park that requires owners to pick up after their dog. However, when jogging on pavement, low focus beam is probably enough lighting, unless it is more of a sprint instead of a jog. The straps do need to be snug enough to prevent the light from bouncing around too much and making one dizzy just following the side-to-side bouncing beam. Even when the straps are snug, the beam will still bounce side to side, but just not as disorientingly as much. The diffuse beam does alleviate the disorientation because the middle part of the diffuse beam is a little dark as much more of the intensity of the beam is in the periphery of the diffuse beam. The diffuse beam is so wide that the swaying of the dark middle part does not cause any changes in the lighting to cause our eyes to follow it to cause disorientation, since our eyes do not focus-follow on darkness, but only on brightness. But snugging up the straps decreases the amount of bounce and significantly alleviates the disorientation to being non-problematic. But running causes the low focus beam to bounce side to side, this can be alleviated by making the low beam wider. The diffuse beam is a little too dark in the large non-periphery, middle part of the beam, and would work better if the light intensity distribution is more even throughout the whole beam. I compared this chest mount running light to my three strap headlamp (this chest mount running light is also 3 straps), and the headlamp works much better because the light beam doesn't bounce around nearly as much, the beam is wide and is a more evenly distributed beam, and the head-mounted light shines directly where we are looking at. But the head-mounted light do need to be snug enough to prevent it from falling off the head, and some people may prefer not have to feel the snug band around their head. The way to achieve the best lighting is actually to use a combination of head-mounted and body-mounted lighting. The same can be said for bicycling. The best way to bicycling is to have a headlamp and a handlebar-mounted light. Thus, this body-mounted running light will complement well your favorite headlamp for night-time outdoor activity. But this is the case only if you are running or biking really fast. If going slower and slow enough, a single lighting, whether head-mounted or body-mounted, should be enough since you can increase the brightness to compensate for the lack of light, and even on high, most people don't jog long enough to run out of battery. I would suggest to have two buttons to separately control focus vs diffuse beam, i.e., that is button 1 is for focus beam and button 2 is for diffuse beam. And successive presses cycles through the intensity of the beam, i.e., pressing button 1 again cycles from high intensity to lower intensity, until reaching off. And successive presses of button 2 cycles through from diffuse beam and high intensity to diffuse beam and low intensity to off. As for the straps, instead of using three straps, what about using 4 straps like those chest mount for cameras. Because the straps are symmetrical over the shoulder and there are 4 instead of three straps, the straps don't need to be as snug to hold the light (or camera) in place.

This light is bright enough to illuminate paths while running at night. The adjustable strap makes it comfortable and secure, even on longer runs. I like that it has multiple lighting modes, including a red safety light. The battery charges quickly and lasts through my usual runs without issue. Having a waterproof design gives peace of mind in bad weather. It’s a simple but effective way to stay visible in low-light conditions.

As advertised, very bright and highly adjustable - I could even adjust this to a kid size for those early winter school bus wait times. I don't run, so I don't know how well it works for that, but I appreciate the added visibility to night-time walks and the fact that I don't have to carry a flashlight in cold weather.

I am a new runner, having started just last year, and am currently building up to my first marathon. My only time to be able to run other than weekends is during my "me time": 5 am on weekdays. This running light has made my runs so much better, especially at this time of year when it is truly pitch black at that time.It is easy to fit comfortably on the head, easily adjustable. The light is super bright -- that thing is powerful! There are also reflective lines along the straps which help make sure you are visible. My partner was always so worried about me running in the dark, but is incredibly relieved that I have this now. I'm not sure why I resisted getting running lights for so long, because this has made my life a lot easier and makes my "me" time running even better.
