The base is a thin metal but seems sturdy enough, however the taper does not appear to be the exact angle of my OEM post. I replaced my cracked plastic base with this but now the table wobbles around in the base unless you use extreme force when inserting it. The plastic ones I originally had gripped the post much better.

I used this to make a custom RV table. The original table was larger than I liked. You can make any size or shape table and drop it right into the existing mounts on the RV floor.

I. Ordered both Russel bases and table leg thinking they would match. However the leg is loose in the bases they wobble and when raising the table the legs fall out. 3 wraps of duck tape needed to snug the leg. Installed a strap across table to seat framing to secure while traveling.
