I wanted a solution to firing up my above ground portable firepit. I used to do paper, kindling, and logs, the old fashioned way. Not knocking that way, but I wanted a simpler solution to get my fire going after a couple of attempts that required more paper and me acting as the bellow.These seem to be made up of a combination of carboard paper and some type of binder. Whatever it is it works. I used two for my first time lighting my fire pit and these placed underneath some paper and thinner pieces of wood then thicker pieces up top and it light right up. As others have said, you really need one.Good value and effective. Would recommend based on the performance which was excellent. Easy to use. Light in hand and place in pit. Speed to light is great as well.I would be surprised if others had problems with these.

As described. They start wood stove fires pretty well, although we sometimes have to add a second one to get it burning hot enough for logs. Works best when used with a bit of tinder such as twigs, pine cones, or toilet paper rolls.

Ignites with little effort. Stays lit for a long time. I use them for my charcoal and my fire pit. They're awesome. Buy again in a heartbeat.

I have used two boxes of these. Keep them sealed and dry and they are awesome. Don't be fooled by competition offering mores pieces with out checking the size

First time trying this product, went camping with my son this weekend and tried it out. Just used 1 square for each fire and worked great, lit up well after holding a flame to it for just a couple seconds. We like to use a ferro rod for the fun of it when we have time but this is nice for early cold mornings when you just want to get a fire going to warm people up and cook some breakfast. Or after a long day of activities and want to cook some lunch or dinner without the bush craft fire starting method. The box itself will last a while with 24 squares and I’ll order more to keep on hand since we go out a lot. Easy, quick, and effective. Recommend!
