I was amazed they worked. I had some cheaper, aftermarket towing mirrors I purchased for my F150 that the puddle light cover cracked and fell out almost immediately. This allowed the original lights to roll around, sometimes falling out of the hole, hanging by the wires. I saw these lights and thought I could make them work. Measured carefully. Turned out they fit exactly. The plugs were different, which was expected, but I used a couple but butt splice, heat shrink connectors and they worked very well. These are much brighter and nicer, and well worth the gamble for less than 15 dollars.

These work, but my aftermarket mirror on my 2017 Ford Explorer did not allow the male prongs to be connected with the female end of the lighting unit inside the mirror. So, I had to carefully pry each of the 3 tabs inside the mirror undone to remove the mirror faceplate. Once done, I cut the very end of the wiring right before it meets the light bulb housing and made sure I knew which was actually black and which was actually red as both wires are the same red in that part of the mirror housing. Once I stripped and twisted and taped the correct wires I inserted the light until it securely clicked into the housing and replaced the mirror face plate back on the motor and it was all set! These work great and I like twisting and taping as opposed to plugging in as I feel the connection is more secure and safe from long term weathering. 5 stars for this product!!!

Great lights, very easy to install. Definitely an upgrade to the factory lights.

Only seem to last about a year. This is my 3rd set I’ve bought. Start flickering right around a year each time, but they are bright!

A great LED upgrade for my tired original puddle lights. They are brighter than the originals, but they could stand to be even brighter since they point down and nobody would be blinded. They intalled easily and plugged right into my original wiring connectors.

I put electric tape on connections to avoid "flicker" issue some complain about. Prevented any issue with that.Brightness and ease of install were perfect. Accompanied with price, 15 minutes install time, fantastic purchase.

These install just fine, and are certainly bright as advertised for a while. However, that’s all the nice things I have to say, after installing these on three Ford vehicles - my 2017 Expedition EL, my wife’s 2015 Edge Sport, and my brother’s 2011 Edge. Both of the units on the Edge’s began flickering and most of the LED’s have burned out within a year or so. However, this is not nearly the worst that can happen. After mine hadn’t worked since the second or third day, I found that out these puddle lamps are tripping the overcurrent protection of the body control module. I was able to diagnose and reset this, but it tripped again, leaving them disabled. I left them this way for probably the last 9 months or so, in a circuit disabled state. After replacing them today with a set of Dorman brand replacements, I found that I simply could not reset the codes, and the lights won’t work. I replaced my wife’s puddle lamps with the Dorman’s as well, and hers work fine (Dorman uses a single LED, and a sealed body that mirrors the original unit). Ironically they are 3x the cost of these, but much better built, and every bit as bright. In researching my issue, I found three codes that these puddle lamps caused:Code: U1000:00-0A - Solid State Driver ProtectionActivated -Driver DisabledCode: U3000:49-8A - Control ModuleAdditional Fault Symptom:- Internal Electronic FailureCode: B12C2:11-0A - Puddle LampAdditional Fault Symptom:- Circuit Short To GroundSince searching around for a solution, I stumbled upon the fact that the field effect transistor protection in this module can reach a state where it will fail -permanently- and requires complete replacement of the BCM, aka the body control module. On the Expedition, that’s in the passenger foot well. It requires reprogramming of the VIN, feature codes, and vehicle keys as well. Once you see U3000:49, I have learned that you will either have to live without puddle lamps, or replace the BCM and reprogram at a cost well in excess of $800.TL;DR - these puddle lamps are absolutely not worth attempting to save $15 for brighter puddle lamps. They are not built to the proper specification, and tripping the overcurrent protection on a modern vehicle repetitively, as these have done to mine, will permanently damage part of a very expensive and critical electronic module. If you don’t believe me, use this information and look around at some forums online, or feel free to try your luck.

I bought it for my 2014 Ford Fusion, after I dismantled the OEM mirror lights, I discovered that there is a difference between the old and new ones. I had to make a notch to force it in.Additionally, the light is not very bright as expected. Not Recommend 🚫
