I used this on a recent backpack trip. It worked fine It's much easier to fold this one up than to roll up the one I had before. And the square shape is easier to tie onto my pack than the round roll.

It’s nice that this item comes with a net carry bag that is sized to allow easy use in and out. Finding this mat to be warm and cozy when compared to another name brand mat, this mat performed better.It does not conform to every stick and rock and its closed cell nature keeps it clean and viable. I could kneel on it with bare knees on rocky ground with no worries.Used in a tarp shelter in 32 degree overnight conditions with the addition of a thin foiled foam under sheet and I did not die, so that’s good.Bonus: the added length can be warped into a semi-triangle shape and becomes a perfect ergonomic neck pillow. Or… drape its end over your boots, to makes an even sturdier pillow with shoulder support. LOL

This mat is firm, so consider that when you are making decisions for your sleep system.

Not the greatest, but serviceable. Not as high density foam as the big brand names, not as thick as claimed, but claimed weight is honest. Can't say anything about durability, I just got it.
