I hate using a bowl to eat ice cream out of pint containers, so I bought this so I can eat directly out of the tub. My husband made fun of me for buying this, but I found out that he's been secretly using this insulated container to eat his ice cream now!I honestly don't know how long it will keep ice cream before melting, but it's perfect for eating out of the tub and preventing your hands from getting chilled and causing the ice cream to melt. Considering how well it seems to insulate things, I'd assume you're safe for at least a couple hours before you need to find a freezer for your frozen goods.

I can't believe how much my mom loves this ice cream cooler. It was a last minute "add on" type gift but it's been a favorite. It keeps the Haagen Daz super cold.

I bought this so I could bring a pint of homemade ice cream to events. When I tried with the basic white cardboard pint cups (that I purchased from Amazon), the lids do not fit. They were too large and got stuck in the container and it was almost impossible to remove the lids without using a knife to pry them out .Great idea, great quality, and beautiful color. I wish it worked for me, but it may work well for you, if your ice cream brand fits.

I love this container! I keep it stored in the freezer so that it’s really cold to store my Creami in. I’ve been using it all summer, and take a protein creami to work with me. It stays, not exactly hard, but keeps it a little harder than soft serve ice cream, which is pretty much the way it went in.

I recently bought a Ninja Creami Deluxe 11 in 1 and while casually looking at various accessories, I realized it was going to be too cold for my hands to eat out of the pint, and if I made some ice cream to go with desserts at Christmas, how was I going to keep it cold/frozen on the hour long drive to where my family gathers? I don't own a cooler because I have no where to store it in my apartment, and how could I leave any extra ice cream behind without having one less creami deluxe pint to make ice cream, sorbet or italian ice in? Then I saw this by S'well. I have loved their water/drink bottles, and this looked like a good fit. I found some paper pint cups with lids that I could use to put my ice cream or sorbet in, and then I could drop the paper pint in for travel. The paper pint fits perfectly without the paper lid, and once I get where I'm going, I can remove it from the S'well container, put the lid on, and put the pint in the freezer. My Ninja Creami makes more than a standard pint size, so I end up filling 1.5 paper pints, and I use this to hold the half pint while I eat that. So far, I haven't stored a pint of ice cream in it longer for an hour, but the ice cream I stored in the S'well container hadn't melted at all in that time. I couldn't be more pleased with them (I bought 2: one in mint, one in vanilla), and I'm considering buying a few more and putting ice cream or sorbet in them and giving that as a small handmade (the ice cream in it) gift when I go to homes for holiday/special meals.

I visit a friend in a nursing facility on a regular basis. As another reviewer mentioned, it's hard to take items that need to remain frozen or cold. I used this to take a pint of ice cream and loaded it into the S'Well at 1 pm. I put it in a cooler bag with two ice packs because it was in a hot car for 30 minutes of travel time. When we got ready to eat the ice cream at 3:30 pm, it was just starting to soften. When I arrived at home around 6 pm with the remaining ice cream in the S'Well it was soft but not liquid. I don't know how long the ice cream would have lasted if I had not dropped it in a cooler bag but I look forward to taking it to the beach and giving it a try. I did not experience the issue of the ice cream carton lid not fitting inside the S'Well. I tried both HD, Ben and Jerry's and the store brand and they all fit. I would definitely recommend this ice cream chiller. I plan to buy another as a gift.

No matter where you are.... you take out this item out and start eating ice cream & it makes people flip! "Never thought of bringing ice cream at work, how cool." Showing them your ice cream is still hard in this item speaks for itself!!! SERIOUSLY... just get one!

It keeps the Ice cream solid for about 3-4 hours. After that, it will get softer and begin to melt. Some tips, try putting the container in the fridge before use so that when you put in your food it will keep for longer. Because you have to hand wash it, try buying reusable or disposable containers to either drop in the dishwasher or throw out. One that that I wish was for a greater variety of colors (I prefer solid colors).

Hard to open the lid. really wide, and gets stuck. Need strong and bigger hands to deal with this. Had to return.
