My canner is very old - 40+ and was great to find a gasket that fits AND WORKS. Some this size fits the newer models and would leak. These worked perfectly.

This was not the correct sealing ring for my 23 qt. Barton pressure canner. It didn't really fit right and it would not seal. Mine requires the 32cm clear silicone sealing ring. Just a heads up to you buyers.

I haven't had the opportunity to use the gasket so in all fairness I shall wait to see if it works. It is not as wide as my old one so I am skeptical if it will indeed work. The diameter was correct so I am keeping it. The price was reasonable so I am not bothering to return it. I will give a further review after I use it. My older gasket was much heavier and I am disappointed with this new one's quality. Like so much of our things today, the quality of times gone by is just not there.

I measured this gasket at 13†inside, not 12.6â€, which is what I wanted and what it was advertised as. I put it in my canner and it was a bit floppy, sort of like it had a tuck in it as it was too big. I managed to get the lid on - which was more difficult than my original gasket, but it did seem to work in the canner. It dripped a lot of water first but then got up to pressure on much less heat than my other one. Hopefully, it will continue to work but the exact size is really needed.
