I thought this ride had a nice balance of wash and stick definition, but leans to the wash side a tad. It’s darker than I initially thought too. The ride didn’t cut through quite as much as I wanted, but it could get the job and may be perfect for some who prefer a darker wash. The 21 medium complex is actually crashable, but it’s not going to give you multiple crash hits in succession for fast, rhythmic breaks similar to paranoid (sabbath) or fix me (black flag)I returned it, but considering buying it as an alternative sound. It is nice and I’m starting to really like the hh and hhx series.
