The old struts on my 2007 Dodge Caravan were no longer holding up the rear hatch. I was tired of banging my head on the low door edge!These bolt right in but you might want help to hold up the rear hatch, it is heavy. The new struts differ slightly in how they mount. The ends of the original struts are held in with a Torx bolt, which is integral to the strut. The new part has mounting balls which screw in with a 13mm open end wrench. Then you slide the clip on the new strut back and pop it onto the mounting balls. That's it.

Good quality and easy to install. I bought two of these for my 2007 Chrysler mini van with the powered lift gate. Now the motor has a tough time closing the rear hatch, and sometimes reverses when it thinks there is an obstruction. In hindsight, I should have bought one, and see if it solved my problem of a droopy hatch that closed on its own. I think one new one would have been enough.

Brought the rear hatch on my dodge 2007 grand caravan back to life again. Easy to install. Now I don't need to store a broom handle in my van to prop the hatch up.Note: I did have to remove the old support fixtures and replace them with the new ones.

Not hard to install. The hardest part was removing the old ones. Recommend this buy to anyone. Wise to see a Youtube first on the installation.
