Sturdy, functional, looks good. Have several. Move on casters well and stay put. Ideal for my needs to have several books/binders ready at desk. To try to put this together without a drill is lunacy. Did a couple without and a couple with a drill. The drill makes it much easier. Takes a little bit of torque to get screws to set.

Besides one shelf coming without holes to attach it to the side of the cart and a dent that didn't allow the center screw to attach the shelf to the back panel, assembly is impossible without power tools. We were even willing to keep it and just leave off one shelf, but the entire cart is incredibly wobbly. If I could get the wheels off the legs, then I would happily return it for a refund. As it is, I'm not sure how I will return this defective cart.

I recently bought this cart. It is sturdy, it rolls well, and it looks great. It was, however, NOT easy to assemble. I had to use a power drill, and even then I stripped 4 bits. The screws screw into the metal of the cart, and they do not go in easy. Still, I'm pleased with it. Just be ready to wrestle it when you assemble it.

Looked at a few different types of mobile shelving, and went for this one largely due to price, as they can be really expensive, particularly with shipping costs on top.Very happy with it, quality is very good, fairly staightforward assembly, moves around easily. Glad I had Amazon Prime! One note, the vertical side bars do create hollow areas to the sides of the shelves. The shelves flair out to cover the gap, so there's no danger of anything falling down the side, just that books may lean into that hollow without some sort of bookend in place. Not an issue for me, but might be for some potential buyers.

the book cart was bigger than I expected but looks really nice when put together, make sure that the screws are tightened really well, we thought we had them tightened well and the bookcase was really wobbly but our maintenance man was able to get them tighter and now it is fine. My only concern is you really must limit the amount of books you put on it or it becomes so heavy and hard to push. If your looking for a cart that you can fill totally with books and push around know that the heavier this one gets it becomes really hard to push.

After reading all the previous reviews, I ended up buying this book cart because the price beat everything else on Amazon. I still don't regret it exactly, but I think there's a couple things to clarify:1. Assembling the book cart is a somewhat involved process, but certainly not as bad as the other reviews make it out to be. It took me and a friend less than 20min with an electric drill to screw in all the parts. The thin metal shelves are very easy to damage and the corners can get bent out of shape if you're not careful, but if you're at least somewhat capable working with power tools, it's not a tough project (btw, if it takes your handyman 1.5 hrs to put it together, then I think you got fleeced, just sayin).2. Where this Safco book cart disappoints (and the reason I only give it 2 stars), is that the design is very flawed. 'Samuel K. Jones' hit it right on the spot in his review: this cart is NOT capable of holding 6 shelves full of books. The silver end bars are sturdy enough, but the only thing connecting them together are the flimsy thin black shelves, which bend and flex like crazy. I only put 3 shelves worth of books on it, and every time I push the cart the whole thing angles forward. On turns, it does the same thing. I don't expect this product to hold up if used often. All it would've taken to make this cart amazing is to have included in the design a crossbeam of some sort to firmly secure the two ends together, instead of relying on the weak shelves. Every time I use it, it feels like i'm pushing a cart made out of recycled aluminum pop cans and not steel, that's how weak the support is.That all being said, the cart looks nice and if you don't plan on moving it much, then go ahead and get it! But if you plan on loading it up and rolling it, better look elsewhere.

Look at all the pieces when you first receive this. Some of the pieces were bent. Luckily, I have a tool to straighten it out, and the areas were located to the back where it's not visible. This is a two person job. Can be assembled by one, but it will be challenging. I purchased this cart because I wanted to be able to move the "book case" out of the way whenever I need to clean, or just to relocate. It's made of steel, so it's a bit heavy, but so worth it!

This was the worst piece of furniture I have ever had to assemble. The screws are not fitted to the holes properly and I ended up stripping two drill bits getting this together. Still, not all the screws are flush because they cannot be accessed easily by any type of drill or screwdriver. The metal shelves were either warped or poorly designed since they did not align until bent and clamped. The whole assembly process left the finish very scratched up. I bought this since it was much cheaper than a lot of other book carts, and it shows.

Good product. Sturdy, wheels roll easily and lock. Tilted shelves ensure books do not fall when cart is in motion.

The instructions are not very clear - one needs a magnifying glass to read them !! But most important it is not solid enough to be filled with books - It was half filled with books and the screws kept falling off - although I tried to buy longer screws at a hardware store - nothing I could find would fit so there was no way to stop the unstablity of the unit which I ended up returning - very disappointing !!!
