I have a family member who purchased one of these. On one of my visits to their home, they prepared potato chips as a snack - wafer-thin and seasoned perfectly. Absolutely delicious! My sister-in-law prepared a dip for the chips.I have an old plastic mandolin, and it is difficult to use. I am always afraid of somehow cutting my fingers. This mandolin is perfect both as for safety purposes and for ease of operation. It has different settings for various widths for slicing vegetables. Well the manual was no help. I got the front and back, NO pages of formation in between. The good news was they did have pictures on the box. It took a lot of visualizing to figure how they actually assembled the unit. Almost returned it at the beginning. I am glad so far, that I kept trying because I love perfect even slices of potatoes. It is much faster than doing by hand.

Originally this look like a wonderful product however within the first use the blade became dented and bent. Nothing hard was cut but it bent anyway and had to be returned. There's no way to straighten out the blade or even get into it to try to fix it or sharpen them. Looks like a fantastic product but the blade piece is thin and not durable for cutting things like potatoes

Have used this numerous times. Great for slicing veggies, user friendly and cleans easily in the dishwasher. The little brush that comes with it works well for getting put extra pieces .of food removed. Great value for the money

I like the simplicity of the gadget and the fact that I save so much time not having to keep changing the blade. I use to have to cut my Yams by hand because my other tools would never cut them thick enough, but this one is a game changer. I'm so glad I purchased it.
