My severe likes these perches. I usually get her the medium in purple which seems to be perfect for her size. She has the option to use these as a perch to hang out on if she wants but I try to place them as steps/ a shortcut to get to her toys on top of her cage and to get to her stand where she eats. This way she she’s using them daily and her nails stay trim. I’m a little concerned about her spending to much time on them just because although this is advertised as a “pumice perch†it’s actually just hollow plastic with some sand or pumice lightly coating sides. I’ve asked the seller twice what kind of plastic this is, where it’s made and if this is free of toxins and get no reply. I’m also an overly cautious parrot mama and question everything when it comes to my feather baby. The other down side is the attached plastic piece that connects this perch to a cage. You don’t have the option of removing it to customize or switching to smaller or larger washers to accommodate different sized bars on your cage. Example- I originally purchased this for her ladder but the spacing between the bars are too wide so it can’t be used for that. With that being said, I’m happy to find something in purple and suitable for a female parrot that actually works to file her nails. She walks around on these quite a bit and I started seeing a difference after buying the 3rd perch. I don’t have to take her to get her nails trimmed as often which is great for her and I both!

I was hoping to love this as my vet recommended it for my conure but I bought the small going according to the size legend provided and it was still way too big. I wish it hey would have provided size or weight scales for the sizes instead of giving bird pics. It’s a good product but now I have to buy the extra small size for the conure. I gave the one I bought to my bigger bird. The other thing I did not love is that the screw on lock for it doesn’t fit all cages.

I have been using these pumice perches for my parrots for a long time. They help keep their nails trim, they do not get too cold in the winter, and the parrots love them! Highly recommended!

Unfortunately vet and rescues both said these are unusable for older birds. They are cheap hollow thin plastic and will not hold up to a bird who chews (99%of birds). Very difficult to wash as well.

Our Galah is hardly ever off this Perch, he loves it! Trims his beak regularly and happily. Great Product and highly recommend

Was worth the price, within two weeks my amazon's nails the had recently shed and were super sharp, are rounded and smooth. He has other perches in his cage as well, so I was skeptical that it would work so quickly, but I'd highly recommend these perches. Just choose the correct size for you bird and make sure it's installed in the correct orientation and you'll see results
