Works exactly as advertised. I spray trailer, boat, rods and all equipment, including truck after every fishing trip. It melts the salt away and leaves a protective coating. If you fish saltwater, I highly recommend it.

Does a great job of removing salt residue. I even spray my truck before it rained and even that made a difference.

Bought this from Instagram ad and didn’t have high hopes. LOL. Product totally outperformed and blew me away. I poured some in a quart container and place a rusted wire cutter and a hand pruner in there. The wire cutter was an old craftsman that could barely more and the pruner had a tremendous amount of surface rust from being left out over the winter. Let them sit overnight. To my amazement they were both rust-free in the morning! I pulled them and cleaned them with 0000 steel wool and both looked good as new. The wire cutter moved freely and is good for another 50 years. Absolutely one of the best products for cleaning rusty tools. Highly recommended.

Absolutely works wonders on rust. Leave overnight (or longer for very heavy rust) and the rust is gone. I like Salts Gone because it does not "eat" the metal and I can use it on a lapped surface (ie a highly polished mating surface with super high tolerance). Not your cheapest product but well worth the money. I do reuse the liquid a few times.

When you buy the gallon and follow the ratio 1oz/128oz I really didn’t see an effect when using with a pump sprayer. When I filled my foam cannon with just salts gone and let the pressure washer run it actually made a thick foam like another car soap would and actually seemed to take off the months worth of salt my truck had seen. I’ll continue to use for a 3-4 washes per winter, just wish it wasn’t as expensive I had to mix the stronger ratio.

First time using Salts Gone and I’m sold on this product. Living in Michigan, they like to salt the roads. Came home one day grey vehicle was white. Applied Salts Gone to the entire vehicle then went back and spray it off. Looks like I washed it with soap and water. Left no residue. Glad I bought the gallon concentrate.

I use a small battery powered sprayer to keep salt at bay in between washes.
