This is a stunning looking case and perfectly functional. I chose silver to separate it from the crowd at baggage claim. My experience is Samsonite polycarbonate cases are extremely tough and the finish lasts many years. I have the large size which a bit wider than most large cases. The only negative to me is the built-in handles are designed to be hidden, so they don't allow much room for my large hands. Fortunately the pull handle is very sturdy and easily accessible. This is the perfect large style, stylish case at a mid-price.

Heading to Scotland for 10 days this spring . I do not want to check any bags so I was looking for something I could optimize with the help of some packing cubes and a tsa approved under the seat bag. I am very happy with my Samsonite Octiv purchase. Very easy to and lightweight to use. Solid spinner wheels, handle is perfect for me (I'm 5'4), and the built in TSA lock will make getting in and out of the bad a breeze. The shell also has a charging port, so I can pack and connect a small battery inside the shell and charge my phone without having to look for a charging location in the airport or really anywhere. I chose the purple shell but noticed it was a bit darker than the online picture - still quite an attractive bag!

I did a lot of research after purchasing another brand that had dimples, dents, and deep scratches after only one one leg of a one hour flight. My research led me to this Samsonite Octiv which is made out of the material recommended for being tough. The first pic is before I left for the airport, the second two pics is after I arrived back home from my trip. No scratches, dents, or dimples. I always use straps just because I do not trust zippers regardless of what brand luggage they are in. This luggage gets a two thumbs up from me.

Even though we have not yet used them we love the look and feel of these pieces. Very sturdy, easy rolling and roomy. Love the looks of them as well. Colors were perfect!

Very well Quality build. Excellent carry on. The USB port is only for a regular USB not a USB-C. Zippers are very strong.

When pulling using 2 wheels, some times they will drag on carpet until they get turned around. The built in TSA lock is great. No more loosing locks.
