The first time I installed crown molding, I borrowed two of these from a friend. They work great for me. Now I need to install it in other rooms, so decide to get a pair for myself. Slightly different from those I borrowed but works great too!

I must be fair. I have to like it because it is working. Yet, it feels lite weight to me, sorry. It could be stronger than or how is used. My application is to hold up a weak place in garage racking that is suspended from the ceiling. The guy who installed the rack missed the stud in the ceiling with the lag and it pulled out leaving only another single lag to hold that section with no way to get to it for a 75 yo man.My solution was 2 braces from below. If the application was to hold drywall as a 3rd hand, it would likely be great. It is rated for 150# per brace, 350# more than enough to hold holiday decorations in canvas bags........I want to be fair to the mfg. I think I have. The design is nice.:)

So once came broken, missing pieces and with holes.in the box, so it's useless, but the one that did make it is perfect, does exactly what it needs to do and it's surprisingly light, I wish it was a bit less flimsy but I'll take it.

Not as strong as I thought they would be, but I did use them for stay walls for plascticing off rooms, works great for that.

Held up shelf 2x4 frame while i mounted into studs. Takes a little balancing but helps tremendously.

I haven’t had the chance to use them yet. One of the two I ordered came with a broken ball spring but there are two so it still works. Just feel like if you order something new it shouldn’t be broken.I extended the pole and locked it tight between the basement floor and the floor above. It seems like it will hold okay but it’s a little shakey. I suppose it’s because of the ball joints at each end that have to flex and rotate for varying angles.Overall, they seem like they will perform as advertised but I haven’t put them through the paces yet. I may update this once I really set them up under a full need project.
