These things are perfect for any job. I used them on wood and a car. They have pretty good life for completing the job. Better than I have found elsewhere.

I got these to sand a wood railing, figuring that using a sponge would allow me to conform to the curves. It was what I needed. They proved the right tool for that job and others. It did not connect with me until I got these that they can be washed. Regular sandpaper falls apart if you get it wet. If it is clogged with sanding dust, you can try to shake it out but generally, replacement is needed. These can be washed. Another thing I did not think of before I got these, the listing says they are "brown corundum." I had to look that up. I knew that corundum was a hard mineral mostly made of aluminum oxide but what about if it is brown. It turns out that brown is a common form where traces of iron oxide are present, giving it the brown color. I got these to sand wood but the listing says they can be used on metal, as in steel. They make grinding wheels out of corundum so I tried using one of these on some steel and it produces lots of black dust from the steel and the steel was much nicer looking when I was done. What do you know?I got the 100 grit which was a bit coarse, I should have paid more attention to what I was getting but that's my fault. I believe the 100 will be just about right when I work on the weathered railing on my front deck. They say wet/dry. I would not use 100 grit for wet sanding but having the option is nice.Generally, sanding sponges are a great idea and these are nice sanding sponges so I'll recommend them highly.

These are good blocks as far as durability and abrasiveness. The edges are a little hard so if you try to sand in a corner you'll cut a groove in one face of the corner. This makes it good from sanding down high spots but you have to be careful if you sand in the same direction of the edges. Sanding in a circular pattern is better or in a direction perpendicual to the long edge.

You can easily rinse the dust off and reuse these sanding blocks, which are the perfect size for almost any job. Instead of wrapping a piece of sandpaper around a block of wood, you can turn it on its edge and get those hard-to-reach corners. I wet the sanding block when I want a fine finish, shake it a little to get the extra water out, and then use it.

Such good value! These sanding blocks are the ideal size for pretty much any job. They’re easy to hold and are slightly flexible unlike when you wrap a piece of sandpaper around a block of wood. You can kind of turn it on its edge and get those hard to get corners. When I want a fine finish, I simply wet the sanding block, shake it a little bit to get the excess water out, and then use it. You can easily rinse the dust off and reuse these.Excellent value

These sanding blocks work great. They're thick enough to easily hold, large enough to be able to sand larger areas with ease, and they last a good amount of time, about as well as any other sand paper. Because they're a little spongy, they're more flexible than a wood sanding block, so they're able to get at rounded edges and decorative trim better. These are well worth the $7.

There will still be times when sheets will be preferable to blocks like these, but I find the blocks more useful in almost all projects around the house. They are easy to hold and give three, different, useful faces - broad, narrow, and pointed edge. Depending on the use, I find they last much longer than an equivalent amount of sandpaper sheets.

I like to have these little sanding blocks on hand for when needed on projects. Found this set on Amazon and was impressed by the price compared to box stores. I decided to give them a try and so far they have worked just as expected. Tried them out on sanding some window eves and they work just as well as my previous 3M branded ones.
