I was hopeful that these recorders would be high enough quality for me to teach a 6 year old and play along together, but they were difficult to get a good sound out of and all of the notes were not in tune. I returned them and bought a Yamaha recorder and was much happier. Spend a few dollars more and get a real instrument.

I have one nephew who is 4 and triplet nephews that are 2. They love music so I got sal an accordion and the 3 little ones follow him with the records. Too cute! But very easy to teach on the records, not so much on t h e accordion

I like that it comes with the needed cleaning rod and it's own jacket. And it works just fine.
