I picked up table tennis again after 45 years of hiatus from the sport. It is now part of my daily exercise routine. When shopping for a blade, I tried a friend's expensive ALC blade from the "Insect Brand". Being a newbie again, I don't want to spend that kind of money. Instead, I picked up a Sanwei F3. I can tell there is a difference between the two. I can't say which one is better though. They are just a little different. The F3, with an inner ALC arrangement, does give a little more feedback than the Insect Brand ALC blade. With some practice, one can get used to either one. I can't justify spending 4X+ for the Insect Brand.I put a pair of the Insect Brand Rozena rubber on the F3. It works well so far. Love that top spin and the power the blade generates. In fact, I just ordered another Sanwei blade (from Sanwei directly). It is a more expensive blade. I will see how it works out.Edit: I know the pro's are really into various aspects of blade materials and construction. I'm NOT a pro, just an old guy trying to have some fun, make decent shots, and get the exercise I need. Hope this clears up why my comments are so "unprofessional"....
