These erasers are far much better than the regular pink or red colored at the local store. It don't make a mess as far as leaving the desired clean spot completely erased.

I bought these erasers because regular pencil erasers were annoying me because they smudge (the one's on my mechanical pencils do) or they leave giant pink streaks on the page (erasers on my wooden, "school," pencils). I'm happy to say that these erasers work perfectly!

I have several brands of vinyl block erasers. This Sargent eraser will erase graphite pencil up to a point. With the darker or softer graphite it will leave a shadow in the paper. If one applies more pressure and effort to remove the shadow with this eraser. It will sort of set the shadow into the paper so that even a good eraser such as Mr Pen, Pentel and some others cannot remove.

They don’t even erase pencil. Vinyl is supposed to be able to erase colored pencil and even pen
