Ordered ZimaBoard 5 port PCIE to SATA controller to expand storage on server and very happy with product. Controller arrived with full and half height brackets along with 4 SATA cables and basic user manual. Controller worked out of box without driver install and BIOS reports it uses JMicron chipset. Connected controller to a 4 bay hot swappable enclosure with single 480GB SSD for testing and Windows explorer see drive without issue. Controller makes it simple and quick adding additional SATA ports.

This card is simple to install, just install in a PCIe slot and connect SATA cables. This card adds an additional 5 SATA ports. For those who run personal servers, this is a great way to increase space. They were nice enough to include additional SATA cables and an interchangeable bracket to adapt for low profile installation.

This product works GREAT with my legacy SSD/Spindle SATA 3.0 Drives. I had boot (hang) issues with my CD/DVD Optical Drives attached to it until I moved them off this card onto the motherboard's SATA connectors.A HUGE benefit of this card is that it's one of a few non-RAID low cost cards having the more modern JMB585 chipset, and NOT the buggy ASMxxxx chipset that has a known driver incompatibility bug which a recent windows 10 update deployed to detect defective drivers started and causing BSOD's on resume from sleep/hibernate with; even with the last / most recent ASM106x driver version 3.3.5.0 available.

Lasted about 6 months before drives were no more detected. Get one of these with a heatsink.
