HOW TO USE?
Step 1: Prepare the cloth with the seam
Step 2: Press your seam with hot iron

The wood has beautiful grain and is highly polished to be smooth to hold and also to avoid snagging or marring your clothing. There's a channel around the middle which makes is very easy to hold. Does the job. Easy to use and makes ironing seams, especially on difficult to reach places on garments, easy to get the smooth, crisp results you want.

When I opened it, it had a desiccant included, but it still had a bit of white mold. I chose to just use some cleaner to get rid of the slight mold. It was fine after that. It works good when sewing to make a tight crease or flat fabric. I like having a clapper.

I absolutely love all the Savina wood sewing notions I have purchased. The wood finish is smooth, the edges are always rounded. This clapper even has a 6" ruler etched into one of its sides, just below a conveniently beveled finger grip featured on both sides. Very heavy, just gorgeous!

There are any number of tools to help quilters and I chose carefully from those recommended. This pressing tool is one that I highly recommend. It really does make a difference to the flatness of seams. It is high quality wood, came well packaged with a return quarantee, printed on the box. It fits nicely into my medium size adult hand and the wood is smooth, no risk of splinters.I have compared the seams on my current block and those I finger pressed, followed by light iron pressing, are not a flat as those seams I additionally use the pressing tool. I am extremely pleased with this tool. I also think, for the quality of the product, it is reasonably priced.
