Fit my 170 z perfectly. Took 20 min to install and completely fixed my saw. The saw was bogging down and becoming very difficult to crank. Installed this carb and it cranks instantly and runs perfectly

Works well on my Stihl MS170-Z. The saw fired up easily, idle speed had to be adjusted down to correct rpm.

Carb runs great, but throttle linkage longer than stock though. It's longer from the body of the carb to where the throttle wire hooks on (see pic). That caused the throttle wire (where it bends) to be farther towards the outside of the saw and made it hit under the airbox when choke was on and had to grind off some of the air box so the choke would fully engage. Other than that, the saw runs and starts awesome now. Used the air and fuel filter and also the fuel hose which was nice because my fuel hose had just started leaking. Overall happy with the purchase.

My son, a mechanic had a fit when I told him I bought this, I then ordered some carb cleaner. This carb came first, so thought what the heck, put it on, it fired up first pull and ran like a clock. I have not actually used it yet, but so far I am impressed
