Very happy with my purchase. Understandably the plastic is not as heavy duty as single non expandable versions, but unless you are storing very heavy items certainly not an issue. I'm using it for storing magazines, and some thicker paperback manuals and it is perfectly adequate for both. Recommended!

I’m using this product on a bookshelf, not on a desk, therefore appearance is not important to me. If it was, this not the divider I would pick. The sides of my bookshelf are not open, so it should be sturdy enough. If it was in an open spot and it contained anything heavy, the sides might lean. I am using it for magazines and soft sided quilting books of various sizes, so the open front was important to me.

I am a crafter. I have 100+ dies for paper crafting and keep them in 20 3-ring binders. I needed something to hold them on the shelf without leaning over. These racks are the best!!

This item has a really cool design wherein it is all one peice that can fold flat or into the divider shape. This makes putting the unit together very easy, but it also lends itself to being less study than a metal magazine/paper sorter. I've been using mine as part of a charging station I build to hold ipads and laptops and it has been doing well. I think if you loaded this thing up with heavy magazines you may exceed the limits of the plastic. I would think this would work well for the vast majority of people though. I would buy it again.

It was much better than I expected. Made from heavy plastic. We don’t always need 4 slots so you can fold up the slots you don’t need and fully expand when you do.
