I work from home and I spend a good chunk of my day at my desk. A good foot rest makes a lot of difference. With this one it's very much so adjustable. Want it higher? Angled? You can adjust it to fit your liking. Once I got my settinh dialed in it was so much more comfortable sitting at my desk. Overall it's a sturdy foot rest that fits perfectly under my desk.

The Scalebeard Foot Rest for Under Desk is without a doubt the best footrest I've ever had the pleasure of using.Footrest arrived in great time and exactly as described. It actually came with an instruction manual to help explain it's workings. This is only needed because it uses a ratcheting type of system that needs to be fully extended before being able to be returned to the closed position. I could see how this might confuse some people, but I found it to be an excellent system. No levers or screws or whatever to worry about coming loose and changing what once was an excellent angle or position. Honestly, I'm not a fan of any massaging anything on my feet - rollers, bumps, or whatever. I had foot surgery not too long ago and I guess the nerves are still a bit out of sorts about it and any type of stimulus like that just feels weird, not soothing. So, the P.U. covered cushion works well for me as it provides just the right amount of softness without feeling like I'm sinking into it. I don't know if it's recommended or not but I have a heating pad I was able to Velcro onto this so not only do I have a comfy footrest but also a heated footrest.So really, this is a deceptively simple product despite the mechanization used to provide it's excellent positioning. As such, there's not really too much else to say about it. A simple product that simply works, and works very very well.Would I order this again? Absolutely and without a doubt or hesitation as it's an absolutely a superb footrest. Would I recommend this to others? Same answer, absolutely and with a doubt or hesitation. Without a doubt a definite 5 star product.A+++++

I've needed something to replace a hassock for my favorite chair since I had back surgery recently. The hassock is too high for me so I've been searching for a footstool or something that was small, lightweight, and adjustable. This fit the bill. I ended up making a cushion out of high density foam for a more precise height and comfort. Now I have to find a way to keep that from slipping off.

My husband works from our home office several times a week. He was complaining about his sciatica flaring up--we bought a seat cushion and a lumbar support attachment, to no avail. His office chair swivels, can elevate, and is very comfortable. We were stumped. Then I realized that when I elevate my feet, my own back pain lessens. Maybe he needed to raise his feet from flat on the floor to take pressure off of his legs.I saw this Scalebeard Adjustable Footrest and decided to give it a try. It arrives with little assembly required--attach the padded cushion to the top (if desired--the footrest can be used as is) and the square adhesive anti-slip pads to the bottom. The mechanism took a minute to understand--instructions are included, and the product listing also shows step-by-step photos. In my photo, my husband is demonstrating using the footrest at an angle under his desk. He is very pleased with the results--less discomfort when sitting for long stretches of time.You may or may not have the same results, but it is nice to put your feet up any how. A few others have said the footrest is too small for them. The dimensions are listed--if you wear a larger shoe size, this may not work for you. My husband wears a size 9, and his feet fit comfortably. We are happy with the Scalebeard Footrest.

This foot rest can be adjusted to numerous height and angle combinations. Adjustment action is smooth with some ratcheting sound. To reset the foot rest, you have to elevate the front and back section separately to their maximum heights in order to bring the foot rest to its minimum height. There is a learning curve to do this with just your feet because you wouldn’t want to crawl under the desk every time you want to reset. Not evident is that if you want to change position and extend your legs at floor level, you’ll have to reset the foot rest completely down, or remove the foot rest entirely. It is a little cumbersome. This foot rest is best for individuals who want their legs elevated to the same position all the time.
