Cuts easily through branches up to 4" thick. Used on hard Leyland Cypress and soft Cedar trees. For small 1/4" trimmings, just hook it and pull to slice them off.

The blade and attachment to the handle are a much sturdier and better design than the original saw I purchased. However only 1 of the handles drill holes aligned to the pole.I had to drill a second hole to fully attach this to my pole.Would not suggest this product unless you are crafty in making this work.Otherwise, the saw is very sharp and does a great job. Especially on palm fronds.

Attention all tree trimmers, gardeners, and anyone with a shred of common sense: avoid the Scalebeard Hand Pole Saws like the plague. These so-called "tools" are about as safe and effective as juggling chainsaws blindfolded.First off, let's address the elephant in the room: safety. Or should I say, the complete lack thereof. Using this contraption is like playing Russian roulette with your limbs. The flimsy design and lack of proper safety features make it a disaster waiting to happen. You're more likely to end up in the emergency room than actually trimming any trees. And let's not forget about functionality. Or rather, the utter lack of it. Attempting to use this thing is like trying to saw through a redwood with a butter knife. It's about as effective as using a toothpick to chop down a sequoia. But wait, it gets better. Not only is this "tool" a danger to life and limb, but it's also about as useful as a chocolate teapot. The quality is abysmal, the performance is laughable, and calling it a "tree trimmer" is an insult to actual tree trimmers everywhere. In conclusion, save yourself the trouble and invest in a proper pole saw. The Scalebeard Hand Pole Saws are nothing more than glorified toys masquerading as tools. Use them at your own peril, but don't say I didn't warn you.

As another reviewer noted, the saw will not attach to a standard screw-top pole, and it's not obvious from the website photos how it attaches to ANY pole. Saw seems fine, though.

Product is easy to assemble. A long reach, about 24’. A bit flexible at full length but for occasional, home use, worked well to reach high tree limbs.

Where do I start. 1st the saw sheath does not fit the saw. The handle really thin plastic and broke just trying to put the blade in. And the blade. Well it might cut one small stick before it bends. The steel is too thin to even cut paper. Save your money and don’t buy this. Step up to a saw that will do more than tear paper.

Ensure to install to the end of a solid poke to reach those high ones. I guarantee this saw will outlive its pole
