A piece of American muscle car and law enforcement history. The Alabama Department of Pulic Safety purchased the AMC Javelin as a more cost effective vehicle from the standard larger sized police cruisers for the Alabama Highway Patrol in 1971, the same year Javelin won the Trans-Am title and would go on to win in 1972 and 1976 as well. This Alabama Police State Trooper is sure to catch the crooks with his working siren and flashing lights as his pony car races through the streets fighting crime.

Coolest and fastest car for my 1/32nd track yet. Siren and lights just add to the fun.

I have ordered several of these cars, often the display case was cracked when I received the car (because they don't send them in a box), and shortly afterward using the car one of the headlights stopped working. I keep hoping I can receive a car where the headlights continue working long term. I have 50+ cars and this is the only car that I have ever owned with consistently bad headlights.

The car is nice. It sits well on the track and is a relatively fast car. I cannot say if this is the case for all of these cars, but one of the headlights does not work except at the highest voltage (that is, only if the car is going so fast that it flies off the track). I took off the chassis and inspected the circuits to see if it was just a broken connection, but it was not. It appears that the resistor has a different impedance. Also, the sound of the siren is also dependent on the voltage that you send to the car - that is, the siren changes when the car is going slow or fast. I also bought the Audi R8 police car - it does not have these issues.

The problem is my track is not long enough for the speed it goes.

I’m only disappointed because I bought it for my Carrera 132 track and it’s not compatible

Had to get a replacement one, because it only lasted 5 laps then wouldnt move. Replacement didnt work at all. Sent them back for refund. Other different style cars on my sons track worked fine.

Contrariamente a lo que he leído en alguna reseña para este auto (Howard Browman en inglés), yo lo probé en mi pista y tanto las luces frontales, como la de la torreta de la sirena funcionan incluso a velocidades no muy elevadas.
