Costly for what it is, a Foam Box. But all Kurdi products earned their reputation and even though the alcove is expensive, it is a lot faster than making a Waterproof box by hand. Too bad the Kurdi 12x12 is so hard to find.

Works as advertised. Makes lining the niche up with the tile fairly easy. Also makes waterproofing easier than a traditional niche that is framed with wood and concrete board.

The shelf that comes with this unit is way too thick so we used a piece of tile to divide it. Otherwise, it's a great product and looks nice in the shower.

I use Kerdi systems a lot and this is so much easier than using concrete backer board or any other method. The Kerdi is thick on the bottom and sides so it can take a beating. I highly recommend purchasing the Kerdi screws with this to make installation easier. It is best practice to measure your shower beforehand to make sure you have studs to attach the nich into. Also, if you plan to use Kerdi membrane to overlap remember to make your thin set thin and remove the excess or you will have problems installing your tile.

This is my go-to shelf from schluter during any bathroom renovation. Pictured in both vertical and horizontal application. The divider piece is a separate unit that can be removed or placed anywhere you’d like (great for if you use the jumbo shampoo bottles with the pump).My suggestion is to have this on hand when framing your shower walls, that way it can be framed specific to its size.Works seamlessly with all other schluter products.They can be dressed up or dressed down, feeling on your style preferenceHave purchased about 50 of these in my life and will purchase more.

This was easy to install, and is quality. You can fit 3 large bottles across. We installed the shelf lower to allow for taller bottles, and razors and soap to go below.
