I used this to repair torn onion skin paper of a well read Bible. Worked better than expected and much better than any other tape anyone has laying around their house. The repairs are nearly invisible and feel smooth and sturdy.

I use this tape in my classroom to tape down name tags onto the tables, carpet, and tile floor. It is the best stuff ever! It doesn't leave a sticky residue when I change tags at the end of the year. It holds the name tags and other labels down all year. Worth the price!

I once worked in a school and made friends with the librarian who taught me how to protect and repair books. It was the best advice I received for my investment - I have a lot of them! That was 1991 and the books I used this tape on are still in perfect shape! It helps to know the proper techniques for applying the tape, but if you have a favorite book (works best on paperbacks) or want to protect your children's books you want this tape. Used in conjunction with a couple of other tools you can repair the most damaged of your books! The tape is absolutely clear allowing you to see the title and pictures on the cover. Don't let the price scare you off, you can't find a better tape for your library. The only thing I have ever disliked about the tape is that it is shiny rather than matte, but because of its thickness I think a matte finish may be too cloudy. Enjoy!

This was very good for fixing a book binding on a book we used a lot. The cover was separating and this tape was strong enough to hold it together. I would strongly recommend it.

I used this product to repair the spines on a couple books. I have used this product before for the same purpose and knew it was the perfect tape for the job I needed to do. I was pleased with its ease of use, and just the right width for the books I needed to mend.

Great adhesion but tape tears too easily when trying to cut. Finished job not as neat as I'd like but it's clear and glossy and the right size.

I bought this to protect the painted graphics on the bottom of my "special" shoes. I could have bought narrower tape and overlapped it, but that would have thrown off the lovely design. This 4" tape worked perfectly. It is clear as glass. The only issue for my purpose is that it darts up a bit on the curved areas. I could probably have fixed that by slicing the darts on each layer and laying them flat, but didn't bother. For reference, the first photo is with no tape and the second is with three layers.

I bought this to repair the spine of a 50mm thick book and so needed the extra for overlap. It is quite easy to use and there are instructions on how to use it on a book spine, included on the box.The recommendation is to cut the required length and lay it sticky side up on a flat surface and to then lower the spine of the book onto it This worked fine, but the tape has a small static charge, which makes it lift as the spine gets close, so allow a few millimetres extra and use some ordinary sticky tape (the book tape is too expensive to waste on that job) to stick the ends of the tape down to the work surface, while centring and lowering the book onto the tape. The tape seems strong, but time will tell whether the repair will last.
