I've used scotch brite scrubbers for over 20 years. Once they made the clever hole to allow for drying out and I could get them in a natural neutral color I was happy. It started getting hard to get the natural sponges and soon the handsome wooden handle arrived and then these more eco friendly sponge tops. I was worried that the sponge would fall off but it doesn't. The sponge doesn't last as long but I'm glad because I used to keep them longer than should for germ breeding only becasue they hadn't worn out. For good hygeine we really should replace them weekly but I still get two weeks out of them.

The only issue I had with this dish wand before it broke was the replacement sponges were a bit difficult to work with, must be attached precisely for the dish detergent to come out, and the the velcro-like attachment system is not very secure causing the sponge to shift during use.I did like that even though they are disposable, they eco-friendly. This is a bit of a trade-off for durability however. I had to replace them a bit more often than traditional ones. I will say, they have very little packaging waste.I was fine with all of these small inconveniences, even. Giving this product 4 stars after a couple months of use.I had to re-evaluate & lower my rating today and write this review. The rubber detergent ‘button’ cracked at the edge. I don’t believe this to be due to general wear and tear. I have reusable heavy duty scrubber cloths for things that require more vigorous cleaning.I don’t think it is very ‘eco friendly’ if I have to replace the entire dish wand after 5 months of use, along with replacing the sponges - think of the materials harvested, production, and gas to ship the product?I really wanted this product to work out. It looked nice & I felt good using something that is Less Bad for the earth and it did its job. Too bad it broke and had such a short lifespan. You’d be better off getting a dish wand that is more durable for your money with better cleaning power that will not break or leak.

This brush was aesthetic and I was buying to try to replace the bright yellow smiley one I have. But the dish pads simply do not stay attached to the brush which is very frustrating. As you scrub with it it eventually peels away. Had to return.

When i first opened it i was skeptical of the sponge. It Velcro's essentially to the soap dispenser and it didn’t seem to attach well. But as we have used it the sponge has adhered well. It’s been about a month and I’m still using the same sponge. We do a lot of dishes in our house of 6 people. Plus, i love the aesthetic, natural look of it.

It would be a five star product if the replacement pads actually stayed on the head, but I went ahead and drilled some holes in the removable head, got a big eyed needle and some dental floss and we are go.We make do and mend. And use less plastic. I’ve had new items similar like the oxo versions and it broke within months and now it’s in they’re in landfill.

Been using these for about three weeks now. Have always used a nylon brush in the kitchen sink to pre-scrub anything heavy off before the dishwasher. I was a little worried that foods like cheese and other gooey stuff would just build up on the scrubbing surface. So far, it mostly rinses off. Since it's a little more spongy-like, I was also worried about it starting to stink (like an old sponge). So far, it doesn't seem to retain moisture enough for bacteria to grow and that smell to set in. I'm still using the brush, as well. Just not convinced that needing to change the scrub pad on a regular basis is as low-maintenance as the nylon brush.

The pads do not stay on well. The soap does not dispense well. I was looking for something aesthetically pleasing but it just doesn’t do the job.
