Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Centipede Grass Seed & Mulch is designed for full sun and light shade, and has a medium bladed texture with medium drought resistance. It can be used to seed a new lawn or overseed an existing lawn. For best results, apply in the late spring or early summer when air temperatures are consistently between 70°F and 90°F and the danger of frost has passed. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product (please refer to spreader settings on product label). Water daily or as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall. One 5 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Centipede Grass Seed & Mulch has a new lawn coverage of 665 sq. ft. and an overseeding coverage of 2,000 sq. ft.

The seed takes longer than Bermuda to sprout. But it has sprouted and it is growing, and I am very pleased. Looking forward to when it becomes a full lawn.

I was very surprised, but the grass came up quite well, fast, and I planted it in sandy soil in October/november. South Florida. Just watered it for a little over a week. Was thinking it was going to come up, then it all sprouted at once.

10% is seed but germinate well. Problem:Increased from $37 to $58 in 3 weeks.How is that for customer support? Will use sod. Price is gouging us. Not worth it...

Live in SC. Tilled, raked, (starter) fertilized, seeded, and mulched, in early Aug. for this warm season grass. After six weeks of watering waiting, virtually zero germination of grass, but 100% germination of weeds. A total waste of time and effort; do not purchase.

It’s been a month… I’ve kept very moist…. And results are minimal. I see some baby grass…. But not nearly what I expected and am not at all sure that my wishful thinking isn’t the source of whatever positive results I can attribute. But … still hoping to be pleased. Also interesting the criteria questions asked to prompt the review do NOT ask about grass growth results, just ease of use, spread, and value. 🤔

I was skeptical about premixed seed in a bag but this product delivers quite well. I had some areas that died over the winter, but after spreading this over those areas it very quickly sprouted fresh grass and has grown healthy and thick. definitely will use this again when those dead spots show up!
