I looked at several scratch maps before ordering, but this one seemed to fit the bill, and I haven't been disappointed. We hung it in our camper. It scratches off easily, revealing the detail underneath. The cities displayed are limited, but it still highlights main ones, and that's not so much the point. This map didn't break the bank and looks nice on the wall. Would be a great gift for a travel loving family or relative

I'll apologize for the terrible quality photo upfront - I used my work scanner's camera to take it (since it is at work). But I've circled the only reason why I gave it four stars.So, let's start with how nice and well-covered this map is - several small island chains and remote locations are noted and also given cover for scratching (should anyone ever get to uninhabited islands - you rock!). I was originally confused as to why the map overlaps on either side where the int'l date line is located, but stepping back and seeing that it uses curved longitude style map that goes beyond 180°. Not that big of a deal, but when I go to New Zealand, I'll have to scratch two places off on the map (slightly triggers my perfection nerve).The only other issue may be just my shipment, but my map had three places scratched off, like it was dragged or handled roughly - the red circles on my photo. Again, not a big deal, but dat perfection nerve is twitching hard. I'm fine with it now, but after my next couple of trips I may replace it for a better one.The coolest thing is scratching off where you've been, and realizing how very little of the world you have really seen - gotta get moving to see more!!!

We bought this to track what states we visit in the US. The detail on the map is awesome. We had a blast scratching off the states we visited. It was very pretty colors for the states behind the scratch off material. The only complaint we have is it is super sensitive scratch off material, it scratches easily so we have some lines in some states we didn't put there but just from unrolling it, it scratched.

Scratches very nice and smooth. Its a plastic/paper feels thick like a magazine cover. I had it on my wall for months without a frame so ot ended up ripping but very nice. Not sure about colors as I havent scratched many yet. Size is enough to read all names if cloase enough. It has all states and capitals.

I bought 3 scratch maps, 2 for gifts and one for myself. I’m extremely happy with them! They came rolled up with protective paper in individual tubes. Out of the 3, one was scratched - as seen in picture. However, the picture makes the scratches look more noticeable than it is in person.All in all, I couldn’t be happier with the product and am excited to frame and gift them.
