I've got a hole in a screen in my kitchen that was previously covered by duct tape to prevent bugs coming in. I saw this tape and thought it would be good to try out as an alternative. I've included pictures of before and after for how it looks, but do keep in mind that there is duct tape residue left over that makes the hole look a little more prominent than it probably would otherwise. Despite this, I am pleased with this tape. Nothing well ever make the hole look completely invisible, but even with the duct tape residue, I feel like it is a nice improvement having this tape over the hole instead. It was extremely easy to put on, and adheres quite well from what I can tell. It is a bit difficult peeling the tape off to get it ready to stick on, but once you get there, it is a very easy product to use. If your goal is to make it look like there isn't any hole at all, you will probably need a new screen. However, if you want to prevent things from getting into an existing hole, this will work great in my opinion. I am very happy with the tape and would get again if I needed a temporary solution for a hole in a screen.

I wasn't quite sure how to use this tape, as there were no instructions with it, but it was really just as simple as cutting a piece that has the right size and then placing it over the hole in the screen. This patch has a light gray color, so if you have black screens, it will be quite obvious. On grey screen, you can still see the patch, but I don't find it too obvious. I even used it on a fairly large hole (about the size of a golf ball) and it patched it up nicely. I place one strip vertically and another strip horizontally, from the opposite side, so the two sticky sides made contact. Probably overkill, because the adhesive seems to be quite strong, even when you place a patch only on one side. I was able to patch up a number of small holes, which saved me a lot of work, re-screening. We will see how long the glue lasts, but as a first attempt at fixing it, without having to remove the frame and placing new screen, this is worth the money.

This Screen Repair Tape comes in a 15' roll that is 2" wide. The ad says it is black but it came in silver/gray color. I would have preferred the black -- which is my only issue with this. I like that you can cut it to size and easily stick it over any holes or tears in your screens. Out here in the country you get a lot of torn screens from the wind, bowing debris, hail, birds and insects (grasshoppers like to chew on the newer fabric screens). Every couple of years I have to replace the whole screen and this Screen Repair Tape is awesome for keeping the screens useable for longer periods of time. The tape sticks great and the adhesive doesn't stay stuck to the screen if you peel it off (I tried it to see if that part was true). I think anyone who has screens needs to have a roll of this Screen Tape on hand for quick repairs.

My daughter's dog ran right into her sliding screen door and ripped a good sized hole in it. This screen repair tape is just the ticket for a quick repair to keep bugs and such from entering until her dad can replace the entire screen. It comes in a roll with more than enough product for numerous repairs. It is super easy to use with firm adhesion and all she needed was a pair of scissors. We are very pleased with this useful, efficient tool and recommend that every tool box have a roll.

It is an easy way to fix the screen; it is easy to patch and stick on. It works as advertised, not perfect, but it saves time and looks okay.
