Tips

Turn off the power and use a hair dryer to heat the edge of the tablet.
With the aid of the suction cup, use a metal spudger to pry up one side, and insert the triangular warp in parallel to the prying place to avoid re-bonding. When inserting, it must be inserted in parallel to avoid damage to the inner screen
After prying it open, you can pick up the external screen, please be careful not to break the button cable.
The buttons and cables are pasted on the external screen and need to be peeled off carefully. There are two fixed blocks on the left and right sides of the button. You need to pry open the two ends with a knife, and then carefully pick up the button and the cable.

After the outer screen is disassembled, the inner screen needs to be disassembled. Use a screwdriver to unscrew the four-corner screws. Two of the screws are covered by plastic paper and need to be removed with tweezers.
After opening the inner screen, use a screwdriver to unscrew the three screws of the cable cover
After opening the cover, use a spudger to pry open the cable of the external screen. Since the external screen has been completely damaged, the cable was previously cut with scissors
Then use a crowbar to uncover the cable of the inner screen, and then further clean up the remaining glue.

I watched a YouTube video on how to replace the screen. I followed all the directions and it worked. The iPad is good as new. I would recommend this product.

Anyone that’s replaced one of these screens know how tedious it is. Not something you want to do over. The screen fits and the touch screen functions fine. The problem is, there is no “adhesive stickiness†to the pre applied adhesive. So after all your hard work scrubbing the old adhesive off, installing it, disappointment sets in after the edges start lifting, then collecting dust, further reducing the min adhesiveness until you’re holding the screen on with scotch tape. They cheapened out on one of the most important parts.
