I am so excited about this screen and that I was able to save so much money replacing it myself. The replacement is very straightforward and there are so many YouTube videos showing step by step instructions. I don't notice any difference between this screen and the original one other than that it might be slightly less bright, but honestly that is probably better for my eyes anyway, lol.**If you are comparing screens here on Amazon, I want to note that they are literally all probably the exact same thing just from different sellers. You can also buy one on Aliexpress for way cheaper but you won't get it as fast.

So far so good. The install was relatively easy. The hardest part was unscrewing the hinge screws since they were torqued down snuggly but what I did was I took a pair of pliers and clamped on the Torx screwdriver that was included and that allowed me leverage to loosen the screws from there. The screen quality seems good although not as bright. The fit and finish is good with just a slight different texture feel on the metal but thats a minor thing to me.

Screen works and looks nice, however it is noticeably lower quality than the original screen.Instead of glass covering over the LCD and webcam, it appears to use a thin plastic that flexes very easily, and worries me about the overall durability. The screen shipped without all the metal brackets that secure the connectors from the LCD to the LCD daughter board with screws. I was able to take these off the original daughter board and put them on this one but it is something to be aware of when you are replacing the screen.The screen is definitely dimmer than the original (I'd guess around 200 nits), but still pretty usable. Although a curiosity I noticed is that the screen seems to have a shielding problem as my cell phones transmission would cause corrupted lines to appear on the screen when it was transmitting while resting on the screen.

Great screen works just as described and installed just as shown in online videos.the Apple repair quote was more than double the price so this saved a lot of money.The brightness on the screen I got seems a bit darker than my other devices, but it's barely noticeable, and still fully functional day and night.

I installed the screen on my son‘s laptop over a year ago. I was skeptical since this is not Apple OEM, but a China knockoff. I followed the YouTube videos and made a photocopy of the laptop once the cover was off. When I removed the screws I taped them on the photocopy so I would not get confused where to reinstall them. Laptop turned on and the screen actually looks good. My son was home last week and I asked him how the screen was holding up and he said he couldn’t tell the difference and it has been working fine.

At less than 3 years old the 2020 MacBook air screen just stopped working. This shouldn't happen. It would seem to be an indication of a lower quality Apple product. Replacement screen is great. Cosmetically perfect, easy enough to install and works like the original.
