Broke exhaust manifold bolt in engine head. Did not want to remove head and take to machine shop to have it removed, so, used undersized drill to drill small enough hole and used this kit to remove broken bolt. First try....worked great!

Drills are OK. Broke 2 of the extractors trying to remove 1/4-20 bolts from wrought iron patio furniture legs. I'm an 80 year old guy, so pretty sure I'm not over torquing them. wouldn't buy.Update. Company contacted me and promptly replaced the product.

Nice set for the price, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose but these have not failed and broken yet as many have in the past. This has made me cautious but with my precaution ive found success.I love when the reverse drill bits do the job for you, it is almost a miracle.

Drill bits that came with it would not drill into the stainless steel bolt, barley left a dent. I had to use another set of drill bits to get the hole into the bolt deep enough. Then was able to get the removal bit to bite in nicely and when trying to extract the bolt the tip of it snapped off. Does not seem like it was made for heavy duty jobs or bolts that are very tight. I ended up using a Dremel to completely drill out the old bolt and then retaped the threads.

My husband has been asking for sets like this.. I went out on a limb to order them myself and he likes them very much and perfect as he was missing these from his garage set. Great durability and price.
