My scribner jug lid came with a black rubber gasket that would wrinkle up and fall down into the jug when it came in contact with fuel. So then I lost a good seal on the lid and fuel would leak out when transporting the jugs. Not good. My other jug had this white foam style gasket so found it on Amazon and bought one to replace the rubber one. Good to go. Now no more issues. Love the quality of the Scribner jugs.

Jugs leak in spite of the new gaskets. Bought VP jugs and junked the Scribner jugs.

I have a 10 year old Scribner jug and the old rubber gasket has been on its way out for years. I finally broke down and bought a replacement. This fit the old cap as well or better than the old rubber gasket ever did. I'm so happy that I no longer need to worry about the rubber gasket falling out every time I take the cap off. This one fits up pretty tight at the top of the threads to ensure it doesn't fall out.
