I was looking for an easier way to drop and crank up my kayak anchor and thought I would give this a try. It actually works really well. Easy to use and does lock, though I tie my line to a cleat anyway.

I use this for diving and as an anchor line for my kayak - really works very well and seems to be well made / strong as I've abused it quite hard in strong currents!

Great for small anchor line on my kayak! Line is strong too. I used this on my kayak anchor in about 24 foot of water. When I went to pull anchor I noticed it was very hard to get my anchor to release. Finally the anchor released and up with it came about 25 pounds weeds. Definitely recommended.

It's good, but quite big. It's not comfortable to keep while you dive, I even confuse where to fast it to BCD so it would not bother me

I purchased this for use as a kayak anchor reel. It arrived well-packaged but was smaller than I anticipated. In fact, it could only hold 50’ of 550 paracord. I still plan to keep it and use it for depths around 15’ (a local lake I frequent is ilonly this deep) in order to abide by safety rules calling for 3x the line length per foot of water depth. Overall I’ll give it four stars, as I am not sure how well it’ll hold up. I have now bought a trot-line reel for $4 that easily holds 100’ of paracord for deeper locations. Nonetheless, build quality seems fine for this application.

I like the fact there are 3 options either stop, free or skip. Allows you to pick which one you need. Works well with a DSMB if you make a mark on the line at 15ft you can use it to mark your safety stop

I use this for launching a small anchor from my kayak. The rope is pretty strong. As I am only fishing at shallow water, the length of rope is more than enough. The only thing to be aware is that just don't wind back the anchor using the handle. It is next to impossible. Instead, retrieve the anchor first and then wind back the rope. Otherwise, I really like this product.

I would purchase this item again. I use it to pull a dive flag around during shallow dives (20-30feet). No issues with the mechanism. Make sure you and your partner don't get tangled in the line (more an issue with novice divers).
