While diving in French Polynesia my wife saw a great hammerhead while I was inspecting small things in the sand…and I missed it. the regret of missing that sight made me buy a pair of these for us, and it’s made communication so much easier when we find something or need attention! The magnet generally holds well, but just be aware it’s not a powerful one so can easily flip the lid when entering or knocking it on a dive. Don’t forget to take it off your bcd if your renting one post dive!

I recently purchased an underwater noisemaker rattler, and I must say that I am disappointed with its performance. The main issue lies with the clasp, which is insufficient and led to an unfortunate incident on my scuba dive trip. On the very first day of using it, the rattler came off my BCD (buoyancy control device) and was lost to the depths of the ocean. This loss highlights a significant flaw in its design and durability.Considering that this product is specifically intended for underwater use, its ineffectiveness and vulnerability are particularly disappointing. The fact that it easily detached from my BCD and was lost forever renders it not worth the price paid. I had expected a reliable and secure attachment mechanism, but unfortunately, that was not the case.I had hoped that this underwater noisemaker rattler would enhance my diving experience by providing an audible signaling device. However, its inability to remain securely fastened severely limited its usefulness and ultimately resulted in a regrettable loss. Given these circumstances, I cannot recommend this product, as it fails to fulfill its intended purpose and does not meet the expectations one would have for an underwater accessory.In conclusion, the clasp on this underwater noisemaker rattler is insufficient, leading to its detachment and loss during my scuba dive trip. Considering its high potential for use in underwater situations, the ease with which it came off my BCD and was lost makes it completely ineffective. Given the price paid for this product, it falls far short of its intended functionality and does not justify the investment. After damaging yet another flashlight by banging it on my tank to get someone’s attention, I decided to get a “noisemakerâ€. It’s compact, we’ll constructed and features a magnet in the cap to prevent inadvertent “noise makingâ€. Add one to your dive gear today!

These are fantastic. My husband and I had the old style that was just a metal tube with metal balls inside. We would always be tucking it in while diving so we didn’t jingle the whole time. The magnet on these makes such a difference. Great idea.

I got this so the shaker was going off but lost the magnetic top. I will relook at my review if the company gives out a better magnetic top that does just come off easily and that was before getting in and diving. What will happen when diving to the magnet?

Didn't work. My buddies couldn't hear it and it broke after 2 uses. I messaged the seller at least twice and they didn't bother to reply

Although I haven't tried this underwater, just playing around with it on the dry side, it seems to be very well made. I like that the cap with a magnet while on the end hold the ball inside from rattling around. I am looking forward to getting underwater and signalling to my dive buddy when this whole Covid thing is behind us.
