This is a well made bag with the features that you need to protect your scuba gear. Fit my regulator properly and had four corner securing and outer pocket for storage of accessories etc. the Velcro patch spot is good if you have your name toSecure there or to different rate your from someone else’s in a pinch. Padding was good better than most. I give 4 stars vs 5 due to value as this is not the cheapest for the feature set available. It is a good value but not a great value and its feature set is good but not great. Serviceable good quality but not outstanding in anyway.

I had an Akona regulator bag from a couple of year ago, and it didn't have a mesh net/pocket on the inside to hold anything, like a spare battery for your computer/transmitter, quick reference card for computer, etc. I was looking at the newer Akona 'Pro' regulator bag which is the same size/shape as mine but added that mesh that was needed. But compared to this bag which was significantly cheaper, it had the inside mesh needed and included an outside pocket. I think the quality might not be as high as than the Akona bags, but still decent build to hold up for years of use. The outside pocket is a nice add on, but isn't huge. Probably be a better design if the external pocket had the same outlines as the rest of the bag. Since filling the pocket and having a lump the size of only half the bag doesn't seem to make sense from a packing perspective. My only real critism is that the velcro straps inside the bag to hold the regulator seem cumbersome and would be easier to use if they were reversed since on mine you have to sort of dig under the reg hoses, to get the strap secured, rather than easy access over the top of the hose like Akona did. Akona also has an (overpriced) backpack that is shaped to hold their reg bag perfectly, the dimensions of this reg bag appear to be similar to the akona that it should allow you to use it in the Akona backpack for that same tight fit at the bottom of the bag.

This seems to be a good quality case and I will be utilizing it weekly. The size is ok for most regulators but mine have a piston 1st stage with a lower port and it uses more space than most. It fits but very snug. The front pocket is nice but unsure what to use it for. I currently use it for my maintenance paperwork. There is a zippered pouch that I use for my watch and computer, but put it in the outside pocket as there is no room inside the main pouch with the regulator.
