I only needed to replace the clear plastic part. It fit but I had to put the old filter inside being the new filter had a blue skeleton attached which prohibited the cover from screwing on. The old one was a simple peace of mesh once I switched them out it worked.

This strainer keeps our rv water clean anc and it fits several other pumps we have had. Love it.

Value for the money. I wish thicker plastic, resistant to cold cracking was available. These are easy enough to replace
