I had an Amarine Made pump almost identical to this one, and it worked great, for awhile. The pump, just like this one pushes out a lot of water and the pressure is excellent (requiring the use of a 40psi regulator on my travel trailer to use this pump. The big difference is in the pressure switch. This pump has a much larger pressure switch to turn the pump on/off on demand than the Amarine Made pump. The switch on the Amarine Made pump failed after only a few days of use while boon docking. This isn't uncommon as even SeaFlo users have reported the same issue with the look-a-like version of the Amarine Made pump. However, only SeaFlo offers this pump with a better switch. I'm going one step further and adding in a 30 amp relay switch, so the 12v SeaFlo switch will activate a 30 amp relay which will turn the pump on and off as needed. This'll ensure that the switch on the pump will last a very long time since it'll have only mA instead of 8 to 17 amps going through it. The pump is a bit loud but it's inside of a shed at my camp site so I don't hear it. If I were to place it in my RV, I would box it with hard Styrofoam to reduce the sound when the pump runs. The only drawback I have with the SeaFlo pump over the Amarine Made pump is that the Amarine Made pump has removable in/out nozzles. I can swap screw type for push on hose type nozzles. The SeaFlo doesn't offer this and has fixed screw on type connectors. I'll have to build adapters as needed. Overall though the pump does what it's supposed to do and does it much better than the Amarine Made (which died due to pressure switch failure), and smaller pumps that I've tried to use. I like the output of this pump.

got this to replace the 11 year old shurflo 3.5 gpm pump that i am pretty sure came with my trailer. thing was having all sorts of issues and it had a constant problem of "surging" pressure whenever you turned something on because of the pump cycling on and off. taking showers SUCKED assuming you could even get a whole shower in before the check valve decided to lock up and have 0 pressure. overall just a bad time with the ol shurfloenter this bad boi. coupled with a seaflo accumulator tank and my water pressure is DEAD NUTS ON 60 PSI at all times. i even put a gauge on there to be sure. all my faucets have excellent flow and pressure on the pump like it was hooked to city water! showers are PERFECT with no weird "surging" from the pump cycling. it's also much quieter which is wild considering this pump is bigger!since i wasn't sure if it had its own check valve, i installed one in-line on the vacuum side. if you do install a check valve, THAT'S WHERE IT GOES. trust me. i put it between the accumulator and pump and the pump didn't want to fully shut off, and the pressure was a whole 5 psi higher than it should be. swapped it around and all is goodall and all, this is it y'all. get this one!

We are using this to water our garden/lawn from a rain collection barrel. I'm powering it now with a Jackery portable battery through the cigarette lighter port. It runs like a charm and is CRAZY quiet. I was blown away by this little beast. 10/10 would buy again. Just know that the electrical termination is a SAE connector. So, to connect this to anything (without cutting and changing the end), you will need a REVERSE POLARITY SAE connection.

P.O.S. (piece of skītaną)Offered "repackaged" for a few dollars less. I paid for new. Recieved a retaped box anyway. Installed it and powered it. Ran great! Reached pressure and cut off. I was relieved. Kept working on other projects listening for it to restart if the system had a leak. It didn't (I thought). Turned power switch off when I left. Next day turned it back on and it didn't come on. Great, it kept pressure overnight! Right? Turned on shower, and no water. Fuse is before power switch, and the light was on, so it had power to it. I had made the mistake of trusting them, and put it in an awkward spot.Got to it and pulled the little cover for the off. Black lead to boat frame (aluminum) and checked top of switch. 12.4 VDC. Checked bottom 0 VDC. Switched to Ohms and had continuity. So motor looked good. Grabbed minor alignment tool (6" adjustable wrentch) and did an attitude awakening..... it started working! Heard water in shower. Turned off shower and waited. And waited. And you get the idea. It noticeably slowed down. Had another discussion with switch and it stopped. Ran water and it came on! Turned water off and it kept running. And running. Shut off power. This is a long way of saying what a few others have already said. "They can make pumps, but not pressure switches".

I don't often review a product but after having this pump for 2 years I am happy to report it surpassed my expectations. I installed the pump at lakeside with a 150 watt solar panel charging 2 - 400 amp hr batteries and it pushes water vertically about 30' with a 200' run to the cottage. I'd say my flow rate is about 2 - 2.5 gpm at this distance with decent pressure. I used 3/4" PEX to the cottage then 1/2" branch lines. No problem operating our on demand hot water heater. So then I plumbed another line to an outbuilding another 75' further from the lake and still have adequate pressure and volume. This pump has worked flawlessly for 2 years now. I'd definitely buy again.I wanted to submit this so that anyone wanting to add water to their off grid cottage can feel confident that this pump will give them the water supply they will need.

Bought this a couple years ago for my portable water tank for fire protection. Unit goes on 3-point hitch of my tractor and this 12 volt pump is powered from tractor battery. Works perfectly. Shut off switch works. Everything about it still works and seems well built

This pump has enough pressure to use a normal garden hose and project water up to the roof of a second story house very impressed does exactly what I wanted to do
